The last straw with the dearlerhip was a highly padded quote for a very simple, non mechanical, non diagnostic, install of OEM step rails on a new truck, purchased from the dealership. The instlal is literally 24 bolts into pre-drilled holes. The dealership quoted two hours labor for the job at a cost of over $400. For that price I was going to just do it myself, but as i left I drove into a truck canopy shop I know to see if they could do it. They could and they did. The truck was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The point of the story is that if the dealership inflated the labor from 15 minutes to 2 hours on something quite simple. I could no longer trust them to do any actual mechanical work on my vehicle, as I could not trust any labor time they would bill me for.
So we followed our trusted mechanic to G&J. We figure if he joined G&J they can be trusted to do honest work. I have now met two others at G&J and they all seem reliable and trustworthy.
