Horrible. New owner ruined Fridley Minnoco.

Do not bring your vehicle to Fridley Minonoco. The previous owner, Mike Shofner, was an exceptional mechanic and business owner. The new owner, Roger, is not. I have been brining my vehicle to Fridley Minnoco for several years, and have always had exceptional service and honesty. That all went away when Mike sold the shop to Roger. I had an enormous amount of work done on my car last summer and fall. I had to bring my vehicle in twice for repairs. I explicitly told Roger to fix the suspension and ABS... he did all sorts of stuff except the suspension and ABS. He likewise suggested a lot of work that wasn't necessary. I suspected that he fabricated some issues on my vehicle like the ABS speed sensor -he made up some story about how a rock must have disabled the sensor. Fast forward 6 months, and a number of components Roger worked on are now failing, out of alignment, not installed properly, etc. I have brought my vehicle to two separate mechanics and both said whoever did the work is a clown/fraud. I have texted Roger about the issues, and left messages on his voicemail, but he has apparently blocked my number now. I also can't get through to the shop -maybe it has closed? If so, be thankful.

If Roger/Minnoco don't get back to me soon, I am going to make the 60 minute drive to have a face to face conversation about being reimbursed for a number of the parts (alternator isn't even the right model, and one of the bolts completely backed out) and labor; my car is no longer safe to drive. If that goes nowhere, I am filing complaints with the BBB and Minnesota Department of Commerce. I am likewise considering a Small Claims lawsuit, as I have the evidence (2 independent mechanic reports) to back-up I was swindled.

Ripped off.

Told by another company I needed struts and shocks,told minnoco this. They said I do not need struts and shocks. I need a break job. Took them all day to fix. Charged me more then they first said.pick up car at 7:05 pm. After 1300.00 break job, they said they discovered I need shocks and struts. That will cost me over 1100.00. Now I have good breaks. Have to worry about when I can save that kind of money. I live on disability money.mayby save enough by fall. Meanwhile I have worry about driving my car now. I was ripped off.

honest great crew mike and his staff

this establishment are very good honest affordable I cant thank them enough for what they done for me and my girls my vehicles had some big things done to it from them about 3 weeks ago well last friday I was on the eway and my van was acting up called mike he said bring it in right away and got there he reassured me he find the problem but in meantime gave me his loaner and told me take baby home too cold out a week later he fixed the van and he didnt charge us for the whole parts that were well over 800 bukaroos just for the programming my parents paid for I cannot even say how much I'm thankful for these guys highly recommend mike and his staff at minnoco again miigwitch very very much guys

Great staff great mechanics

Had very helpful and friendly service and not being charged for stuff I don't need. ILloyd bring my car back again and would recommend others to. Very knowledgeable mechanics and friendly helpful owner. Thanks micheal shofner!

I really like this place! The owner is really involved, up front and honest! The pricing is decent and I don't think I'll be going anywhere else! Also when you have an appointment they get you in on time and don't make you wait forever! I came to pick up my car and the mechanic gave me all the details about the fix and what was wrong. They honestly have the best staff! Thanks again!

Awesome staff. Great service!

One great thing I've seen at this place is the owner and mechanics well actually drive you home so they can work on your car and then come pick you up when it is finished. That right there is great service. Also a free top grade car wash with every car that comes in for work weather its oil change, tire leak, brakes, etc..A complementary fresh pot of coffee if you decide to wait. Staff is nice and friendly . Affordable prices. Next time you are in need of complete automotive service this is the place to go.
