Terrible First Service Department Experience
I had my first visit to the Service Department at Freeman Hyundai on 6/8/23 for my first oil change. I also had an issue with my rear passenger seatbelt, it was stuck. The service manager refused to cover it (repair) under the warranty because it wasn't a manufacturer defect! In my opinion it most certainly was! I've never had a seatbelt on any car I've owned get stuck and twisted so easily, that's not normal and no one was messing with it except to try to get it undone, and we couldn't.
I'm so disappointed with my first appointment to your service department, not a good first impression at al! The service advisor Carina was great though, it wasn't her fault and she only charged for half an hour labor. $125!
I'm so upset, I spend approximately $40k on a car with an extended warranty and to be charged for something so minor which again like I said is not a normal occurrence, it appears to me that it most certainly is a defect. It is UNFAIR!
Freeman Hyundai Service Department has left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak, no common courtesy . Again, I'm SO disappointed!
I wrote to them, no response and I spoke to main Hyundai, they didn't do anything either! Boo

worst customer service experience
My car has been in the shop for more than a month now. Every time I called they have me wait for a long time and then transfer me around. Whenever I can talk to a person, he/she told me that someone will call me back later. They never called back. No one can tell me when can I have my car back. My family bought 2 cars from Freeman and most likely we will never want to do business with Freeman again. So mad. This is the worst customer service experience that I have in my life.....

purchasing a Santa Cruz
The reason I gave a 2 star is because the sales rep was great on getting the numbers to where I need it to be. but the only thing is that as we was talking about the deal , I was telling them that I needed a trailer hitch or some top reels , he said that if he have to take it off of anther 2023 santa cruz he would do it then couple days later that I decide to go ahead with the deal and then after that he told me that they can sell the top rack at cost and when they told me the price of it from the parts dept. I did not want to pay that amount when he had me understanding he was going to add that in. I was tired and exhausted and when i just sign for the car it was like here is the keys the car is parked on the side, I was not use that they did not go over the car or anything , just gave me the keys to the car, I purchase a car at least 2 times a year but my first time that a dealership just say have a nice day they did not escort me out to the truck and that's it. They have a good financing dept that can make things happen. Once I got the truck it did not have no speed to it so I had to take it back to the dealership the next day and found out one of the hoses was hanging off that goes to the turbo. Oh also the service dept was great on fixing my truck , its seem like the people in the parts dept look so angry all the time, I just had a uncomfortable feeling and i should not have that feeling , that suppose to be a happy day when you purchase car.

Tried to sell me an unnecessary $1200 part
I feel like Freeman’s Service department was trying to take advantage of me by trying to sell me an unnecessary part and skirting my questions about it. Luckily I followed my gut and moved it to a different dealership. The other dealership confirmed that part was fine and ended up replacing my engine under warranty as well as my starter. Freeman’s only indication that there may be something wrong with the engine or starter was that they couldn’t diagnose anything else until I spent this $1200 for a new smart key module and then they may find there is also something wrong with the engine. The sales department seems great, but service was greatly lacking.

Bad experience by Freeman Hyundai service agents
The service agents not realky friendly, Last time I went to Freeman Hyundai Stephen from service told me that my car needed some additional repairment but they needed to order the parts and let me know via phone to take my car again to the service and he never called. I tried called him several days and he never answered. Called to the Service directly and they told me that he will reach out to me. I went yo the service again and another service agent told me that he was the only one to help me out and that I needed to ask him. It was painful and never got response about that. i went to the service this week and he was there and saw me and keep me waiting in his desk while he was capturing some paperwork in my computer, I only wanted to check in my vehicle and wait in the lobby but he asked me to wait. When the car was ready it was parked in the front door and I waited several minutes for him to let me know in the waiting room that the vehicle is ready to go, I had to to and ask and some minutes of waiting on his desk he told me that yeah, you’re all set and gave me the forms to sign.

Fast, friendly service
Dropped my car off the night before, for a 1 pm appointment the next day. It was ready at 9 am. Service staff were extremely friendly.
