The repair was done in one week as promised and it looks great. Customer service worked seamlessly with my auto insurance company and also the rental car company. This was my first experience with an accident repair, and their staff was patient and respectful about my naïveté and questions.
Better than previous experiences, but car accident repairs are still not fun.
I was actually never given an exact repair completion date. They just said "shouldn't take too long". So 1 week went by, then they said they needed more parts, should be done soon again with no estimated completion date. Then I was all of a sudden notified at 12:30PM on a Friday after I had taken my lunch already that my car was ready for pick up. Upon pick up, my mirror adjustment switch was not properly installed so I had to wait for it to get fixed. Then after I got the vehicle home, there was a clip missing that caused my interior door panel to flop loose and make a thunking noise everytime I opened the driver side door(the door they worked on). They also missed one of the scratches on the hood that I had pointed out to them. So these kinds of things made the experience with repair time pretty average compared to the other claims I've had in the past. My complaints are all pretty minor, but taking into account my schedule and that having to bring my vehicle back to get it repaired again after it had already been repaired? Dropping off or picking up the car isn't a quick 20-30 minute ordeal. Dropping off the car means cleaning out your car, waiting for the cars condition to be checked in, scheduling a ride to the rental car place, then waiting for the rental car place to get your rental ready. It turns into a 2-3 hour delay. Picking up your vehicle is another 2-3 hour ordeal. Drop off the rental car, let them check the condition of the rental, pay for your rental, wait for them to drop you off at the repair shop, then waiting in line at the repair shop, signing all of the papers, paying your deductible, then checking your car with a fine toothed comb to make sure the repairs were done properly.
