Since moving to FL, I've always had my Hyundai serviced at Fitzgerald Hyundai in Clearwater. I called today gor an oil and filter change, and tire rotation. I was informed they have no appointments until November. I suppose that's one way to prevent you customers from using coupons. After all, they expire in October. How convenient. The service timeliness unacceptable. I am highly disgusted with Countryside Hyundai and will be looking for a new servicer.

Terrible Customer Service
Brought my 2017 Hyundai Tucson for servicing since the air conditioning stopped working after only 38,000 miles. My service rep was Garrett Gale. Explained to him the situation regarding the air conditioner as well as the coolant in my reservoir goes from full to completely empty in a matter of 6-7 months. Stated to me engine coolant is 50% water and having to fill the entire reservoir in 6 months was normal due to evaporation (Which is entirely incorrect. On average you lose about 3-5 ounces of coolant a year, not an entire gallons (reservoirs) worth). Few hours later I receive a call back and I'm asked if I had been involved in a wreck, which obviously I had not (clearly no damage to the cars body or on the cars history report). He also states the coolant missing may also be connected to the damage to the compressor despite saying earlier in the day it was normal to lose a gallon of coolant in 6 months. I then get a call 30 minutes later that there is metal broken on the compressor and this was caused by a rock somehow flying through the front of the cars grill, air filter, and other components, striking it. I asked, how did they know a rock did this? Garrett states he doesn't know this and this is just the narrative he has come up with. He also states to me that metal is "indestructible" and doesn't break on its own. It would cost 1200 dollars to fix my AC compressor because Hyundai would not reimburse them if they sent the defective compressor back.

If you are reading this please stay away from this dealership at all cost. When you purchase a car from this place they pressure you into leaving 5 star review and even will call you and harass you until you have left a review. They also give you a pity story they won’t be paid in full unless the rating is 5 stars since they don’t work on commission. It's the ONLY reason this place has a rating of 4.6 rating. Take the extra 30 minute drive down to Crown Hyundai. I purchased my first 3 Hyundai's there and NEVER had problems like this.

You can also see, by reading other ratings here, Garrett has been involved in all kinds of other service issues with other customers, you can reference the one from 2/29 among others.

Ignore any kind of feedback that they will leave below. They are only required to respond by policy and it will be disingenuous. Also, the car isn’t under my name, which they will comment we couldn't find you in our system. It's in my fiances name.

Service is terrible
I bought a 2018 Tucson with around 30000 miles on it in May 2020. I put around 4000 miles on it in the last year and a half. The car have been at the dealership 3 times. Fist time under warranty had to replace both door handles.Second time it took 6 weeks to get an appointment for rear tire sensor and new battery. The sensor was under warranty but a battery costed $353.00. This weekend the car have to be
Towed to the dealership because it wouldn't start. I put at the most 10 miles on it since I got it back from being worked on the last time. Car was towed on Sunday around 1pm. I called on Monday around 10:30 am because no one had called me to see if anyone has looked at it
. It has been at the dealership for over 24 hours. Just got a call saying that the battery posts are dirty and it will be around $43.
00 to clean the posts on a new battery. WTF. After questioning why would the post on a new battery needs clearing and the cost. The cost was waived.

Outstanding
I have a low mileage Genesis that I bought new from Fitzgerald in 2012 that is no longer under warranty. About two years after I bought it the GPS stopped working and it was repaired under the warranty. Six weeks ago it quit again and I thought I was headed for an expensive repair. Thanks to Caylie, who volunteered to contact Hyundai, and since I had a problem with it earlier Hyundai agreed to make the repair NO CHARGE. I have bought three Genesis cars from Fitzgerald and I have always had great service there. THANK YOU Caylie and Fitzgerald.

Rude, lying, waste of time theives
Had to wait 3 weeks for a service appointment. Touchless carwash tore my antenna cap off, and the mirror quit folding on my Genesis. I have an extended powertrain warranty. This dealership, as I was previously warned, is a rude rip-off. They wanted $500 for a $13 part, and $140 an hour for labor, just to even look at my mirror. They were sooo rude to my non-confrontational husband (people shouldn't be spoken to that way), they said our car has no warranty, I have the warranty paper right here. If you want to be ripped off and lied to after waiting 3 weeks for appointment, choose this dealership. Please check my other reviews, more specifically my other Huyundia dealership review, I'm not a miserable person, but don't mistreat my family, my time, my finances or my possessions. Run from these rude theives. Huyundia Corporate should secret shop this dealership, then probably end up revoking their dealership privileges back into the auto-mall they crawled out from. Check Google review for proof of my warranty. I called and warned them I was doing this beforehand, JT made no effort to contact me rectify this situation. If I were them, I would have called Mr. Roe (my husband) gotten him back in today and made this right. I would have even sent someone to pick up the car. 2 reviews down, 20 more to go.

Extremely Poor actually No Communication
Tow truck drops 2016 SantaFe off at Fitzgerald Wednesday afternoon 4 days now absolutely no Communication from Service at all. Nothing total BS. Neither my wife or me have been given calls to update us. Kayla is a terrible “advisor” it appears from the lack of any communication from her, she could careless about customers. A reflection of the state of the dealership or a one off lazy person, who could give a do do about customer. Called to share our concerns and total frustration with management actual on Friday a message and today talking to an all edged Sales Manager Josh. He promised me a follow up. I’ll have Service call you’re right it is poor customer service. So that was 1:10 pm I finally called back at 440 greeted by John Robertson I believe on my call to Them. He states, it appears an engine issue. We have one engine guy, he just is getting back from Vacation. We probably won’t get to your Hyundai SantaFe till mid week. Now had someone told me this I would have towed it to NewPort Richey. John states They New Port couldn’t have looked at your SUV any sooner. I’ll bet they wouldn’t have lied to me and had no communication with us. Totally disgusted with Fitzgerald. Total piss poor Customer Communication actually no Communication . In the future, this lack of consideration will come into play for me and our immediate family who have purchased 5 cars in 7 years mostly from “V” a super salesman at Fitzgerald. This has really tarnished my view of Fitzgerald Hyundai. Kayla is horrible at any communication find a better advisor who gives a shit, she obviously doesn’t. Next week that’s for info I doubt they will even call but New Port Richey will get a call monday

I'm from the North, Fitzgerald's Countryside Hyundai, friendly, quick check in, great service, and most importantly they do take time to explain the repairs needed. Any questions feel free to call or make appointment.
Recently, my car had a recall, which was safety issue, they took care of it less then the time was estimated and washed my car, I was surprised and happy. It's the little things that count, when someone goes out they way.

My appointment was for an oil change and tire rotation service. I arrived as scheduled at 1:30 pm and was promptly logged in. I was told I would be texted when the service was completed; about 3:00. The text arrived at 2:40, so I returned and my car was waiting. Check out was quick and I was on the road in minutes.
