Top Notch, Honest Service from Jorge Quevedo
I own a 2018 Hyundai Tucson and have been taking it to Elgin Hyundai for service ever since I bought it brand new. Hyundai is the only brand of car I’ve ever owned since my first new car purchase in 2000. Part of the reason is because of the warranty, the reasonable price and the good service I have received over the last 24 years. My most recent experience is no exception. Starting in January of 2023, I was experiencing some issues with my powertrain… issues that are covered under warranty. During the time I first noticed the issues, I worked with one of the service representatives from Elgin Hyundai named Jorge Quevedo. No customer likes experiencing issues with their cars, much less a warranty issue near the expiration date of the warranty. However, over the last 20 months, Jorge assisted me through the process of rectifying the issue from beginning to end. The process was sometimes frustrating because rules are rules and protocols are protocols. However, Jorge was patient, honest with me and saw me through the entire period - even during my communications with Hyundai corporate office to get the work completed. I have never once felt alone, mal-informed, or rushed and it is because of service reps like Jorge that keep people like me loyal customers to brands that value good customer service, honesty and follow through. Kudos to Jorge, kudos to Hyundai for honoring their warranty, and thank you all for a pleasant customer experience for the last 24 years. My next new car will most definitely be - you guessed it - a Hyundai because of experiences like this.

Service
Took my car in for an oil change and next thing they come running into the waiting area and telling me that I need $2.400 of repairs done to my car.
They then took it down to $1.600 they replaced spart plugs and minor stuff.
This car has 52000 miles on it.
I have been told by those that know they took advantage of a senior lady .
I was going to trade it for a new car but now I will go anyplace but that place.
Watch the people in the service dept. Not all are bad just a few bad apples.

UNWANTED ADD-ON DEALERSHIP
Their website shows the price of their "Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned" vehicles. At the bottom is says said “not including tax, title, and doc fee of $358.03”. That's pretty standard. I called ahead to make sure Certified Pre-owned meant what it said and that it was included. They confirmed it was. Also asked if there was any added warranties/expenses; as some shady dealerships have a tendency to try to legally steal, using that method. The assured me that the price was the price, plus the 3 standard items. (Tax, title/license, doc fee).
Tried to do a deal...Purchase agreement came back with this car at its listed price, a $2K upcharge for some paint protectant thing, and something like $2800 for the Hyundai Certified Warranty that was "included". Final price was nearly $8000 more than the list price.... On a three year old car with 55k miles. Not only did I drive 3 hours one way, but they also wasted several hours of our lives holding us there. I don't understand how they sell a single used vehicle, using these tactics.

Disregard for Family Safety
I recently purchased a lease of a new Hyundai vehicle at the Elgin Hyundai less than 48 hours ago. After driving in winter conditions, and almost swerving off the road due to poor vehicle performance, I decided with a 24 hour period that I no longer wished to continue to possess the vehicle. After all, the vehicle slipped down a small decline, swerved onto a shoulder, and even had trouble breaking while going nearly 10 MPH under the speed limit. Wouldn’t you be afraid to drive the vehicle even one more day?Upon asking Michael Meah, the store’s GM to return my vehicle due to my dissatisfaction and fear of driving because of the vehicle’s poor performance, he adamantly and abruptly refused. I then attempted to appeal to his good nature by voicing my concern for the safety of my two children. Once again, Michael coldheartedly refused to empathize with my genuine concern for my family’s safety. The General Manager of Elgin Hyundai, Michael Meah, has zero concern for the safety of families and THIS father. I only hope I can return this vehicle unfit for the winter roads so my family can ride safely to another dealership out of the Bob Loquercio Auto Group.

Oil Change and Recall Service
My left my car with Keith Rooyen and He took great care of my car.
The service was quicker than planned. I was told I had to wait up to two hours but it ended up only being an hour it was great! Happy whenever I go here.

SCAM!!!!!!!!
The posted a car for sale, we had multiple calls to ensure all was well. When we got there the price was over 10k the advertised price with all the hidden fees tacked on. When we found out what I they had added on we called the manager and he said. “It is what it is”. Accepting that they had scammed us and we were SOL…. I would NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND this place. Especially the guy called Victor. If you see him, just run. He is very rude and unprofessional. Extremely rude. All in all, do yourself a favor and read the google reviews on this place. They have hidden fees and lie about their prices so much. I should have done my research before I bought from this hell hole. Buyer Beware.

Prey on the mentally ill
If you or anybody you know suffers from any mental illness, then do not give this company your business. My husband went in to buy a car- he was having a manic episode. I called the dealership and they insisted he wasn't there despite his gps pinging him there. - he was there. They sold him a 40k car, hours after leaving the dealership he was admitted into the hospital and remains there receiving car. I called the manager the next morning and he refused to take the car back out acknowledge the predatory actions of his dealership.

They took advantage of a mentally ill person on Meds who subsequently got committed
Horrible, horrible people. My son-in-law has a mental condition and was released from the hospital and subsequently escaped from home and went the dealership to purchase a car that the family doesn't need. My daughter was tracking his phone and called the dealership to stop the sale. She told them that he was NOT of sound mind but, they sold him a new car anyway.

My daughter just gave birth so, could not go to the dealership and when she called, they said that no one there fit his description. All the while she was tracking him and knew that he was there. Now they refuse to take the car back. Now, they can't pay the loan and they won't take her calls.

Do they need the sale that bad??
