With humble beginnings Beto Salas (owner) founded a small tire shop in 1990. This shop was named El Paisa Tire Shop and is located in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood of Northwest Chicago. One of Beto’s dreams was always to build a business and keep it in the family, and so he was eager to show his three sons the ins and outs of the shop. During vacation and after school ended Beto’s three sons Saul, Jose and Christian spent time learning the family business.
After many years in the original location, continued growth opportunities led Beto to move his shop to the current location on 4817 West Armitage. And then, in 2010 the opportunity for growth arose and the small tire shop became a little less small when it expanded its boundaries to the neighboring lot. Along with the growing boundaries the shop took on other changes, in 2010 the business was incorporated and the brand name was changed to El Paisa Tires.
With the help of his small business Beto has realized his American Dream. All of his three sons have gone on to study at a university. Additionally, Saul has courageously fought to maintain the American Dream by joining the United States Marine Corps and participating in the Iraq War. Beto is now optimistically looking towards the future where his three sons will take over the family business and continue in their own American Dream.
