Transmission repair
Gettinga transmission tepair shop was critical for us. I called around for recommendations and everyone I called recommend Economy and they did not disappoint! Timely and extremely open to communicating with the process! We feel they are very honest! I will recommend my friends and family!!

Great service and affordability
Loved that I was given the options for what needed to be done and what did not need to be done without feeling pressured to rush a fix on anything. I love that I did not have to do what did not need to be done and they were honest with me on that as well as what could wait.

Provided a thorough diagnosis on my truck and replacement of my transfer case.
The team at Economy Transmission did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing my truck. The provided a lot of information and communication on the various problems I was facing! Excellent customer service and was finished quicker than I expected. I highly recommend them for all of repair needs!!!!

4L60e overhaul
My 2006 Chevy Silverado has over 186k miles and it recently lost reverse. I shopped around the valley and discovered that all the transmission shops had pretty much the same price to overhaul it. I chose Economy Transmission Service due to one reason: customer service. The guy on the phone (who happened to be the owner, Dan) took the extra time to discuss in detail the process and specifically, the upgrades on parts that typically fail with this GM unit. That 10 minute conversation made my decision easy. I later met Dan and learned that his shop is family owned and operated for over 35 years in Boise. I was sold!

During the inspection, technicians also discovered that my truck no longer had 4 wheel low, so they recommended a look inside the transfer case. The motor that controls 4L was bad, so they replaced it. This solved my problem. The additional parts & labor were reasonably priced as well. After looking at the overwhelming mess of parts inside my tranny spread out on the table, it was all well worth it!

Due to the unexpected extra work, it took an additional few days from the original estimate; but otherwise, everything was exactly what I expected. Overall, it was a great experience working with Dan and his son! Hopefully this rebuilt 4L60 will last me another 200,000 miles.

Outstanding folks and service
I had to deal with an issue on my pickup that seemed like it was a transfer case issue. The folks at Economy transmission were very knowledgeable and dedicated on finding the root cause of the problem. I was not the only one to lose sleep where this was a very unique issue. I had a tight time margin and they were very patient and understanding with me and my concerns. They were able to discover the root cause which was not drive train related and corrected that and other drive train issues that were discovered. Very fair on pricing!! I highly recommend using economy transmission for your drive train repair needs. They will treat you like family and make sure you get the best service possible. 10 out of 10. They are the best at what they do!!!

Great service
I just needed a fluid change on the transmission in my Ford F150. These guys got it in and out in the same day, despite being extremely busy, and they let me know as soon as it was completed, so I could pick it up at my leisure in the afternoon.
