Gas smell coming from engine

They saw that the oil cap had not been properly tightened and therefore oil was leaking onto the engine causing the smell to come into the car through the vents. Realizing they were the last ones to have taken the oil cap off to check my oil during the "winter check" on my vehicle the day before I began noticing the smell, they honestly fixed the problem, cleaned up the engine and did not charge me for the services. I would not have known I had been dishonesty charged had they charged me, being unfamiliar with car repairs. I am grateful for their honesty.
