Quick Diagnosis - Timely Repair
I was due for a rotation, and noted the TPMS light coming on. I was able to get an appointment the next day - and was taken early. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty sensor - and it was repaired quickly. Great work!!

Oil change plus preventive maintenance
Brought my car in for an oil change, and ended up adding additional preventive maintenance (replacing a worn belt and weak battery). There was total transparency about what was needed and why, no high pressure tactics to sell me anything I didn’t need, and everything was done on time.

Snow tire changeover
I've used Direct Tire for decades but my experience with them has gone downhill of late. Last spring in doing my snow tire changeover, they forgot to return the wheel lock key on my Porsche Cayman, which I didn't discover was missing until now. While doing my fall changeover, they managed to do the changeover but still neglected to inform me that the wheel lock had been misplaced by them the prior spring. I went elsewhere to have my tune-up performed and the shop told me the wheel lock key was missing. They managed to remove the locking bolts but couldn't reinstall them without the wheel lock key.

I contacted Direct Tire and their service person said my wheel lock key was still sitting on the shelf in the shop where he had mistakenly left it last spring. I brough the car in to have the locking bolts installed but they said they needed to order new bolts to replace them. I waited nearly 3 hours for the new bolts to arrive and get installed and they charged me ~$60 for the new bolts, which is a minor charge that wasn't worth asking them about but something for which I shouldn't have been charged for. I also had an arm rest that required a screwdriver to replace but they said they were unable to do this as their serviceperson didn't have a screwdriver.

Bottom line - Due to their multiple errors, I had to spend an entire afternoon to get the bolts installed on my tires and it cost me $60 plus the extra fees charged by the repair shop I used for the tune-up since removing the tires was such an ordeal. I'm not sure what's changed since Barry, the owner, passed away but it's just not the same service- and customer-oriented shop it had always been.

30 minute battery change
I have been working with Direct Tire since 1980, utilizing them for tires, brakes, exhaust, tune ups and oil changes. I have never broken down on any of my cars over those years. The other day, as winter set in, I could hear/feel my battery had a weak start, it was straining. I called Direct Tire, they looked up my car, told me the battery was in stock. I made an appointment for later that day, they took my car in, and before I could finish my fresh coffee, the car was returned to me with a new battery.

Patient but missing new tire valve stem cap
The Watertown staff were very patient waiting for me to bring our car in. My appointment got postponed due to an accident. The new tires and alignment seem fine so far but I was disappointed that the new tire valve stem was missing a cap.

two tires replaced on very short notice
I struck a curb at night--tore the sidewalls of two tires. I had my car towed to Direct Tire at night and left car key and an attached note in their off hours drop slot. We received a call by 8:00 am; they were already working on the car, and it was completed by 1 00 pm.

Great service, as always. I have been a customer for more than 25 years. Very dependable. No reason to go anywhere else !
