I do all my own work when I can. When I can't, or don't have the time, I usually have Dave's do it for me. I have always had great service. Until this week. I called a couple weeks ago to inquire about cost for transmission service. I gave my vehicle specs and was told around $140, about the same price as other shops. I instead was billed just over $300, more than double the estimate. I may still visit Dave's, but this reinforces doing work on my own. My next transmission service will not be with this business, and I will have second thoughts about other repairs. Would I still recommend Dave's, yes, but with a caution caveat.
