Life threatening service!
avenport Wrecker provided life threatening service for AAA. Obviously just because they are contracted with AAA doesn’t mean they are a quality service provider! Short synopsis... they changed flat tire on Interstate 77 in Rock Hill SC. Three miles down the road the tire and rim came off and went on down the highway (never found). By the Grace of God no one was killed or injured! Kayla at Davenport Wrecker had the audacity to tell me her employee was a good employee and did the job correctly! WOW!

Please if requesting AAA service in this area tell them specifically not to send this company.

Betty said she called AAA and the driver recommended this business to her. She let him take her vehicle there and she was told her alternator and battery needed to be replaced. She said okay and had them replaced. They called her back to ask if she wanted to replace the belt, as it was getting old. She went to pick up the vehicle and everything was fine. When she left, she heard a squealing noise and she took the vehicle back the next day. They checked out her vehicle and said the air conditioner went out, that is what the sound is, so now she needs a new air conditioner. She bought one and had someone else put it in. The master mechanic took this business's word, as she told them what they said. She was told the belt was on wrong and that was probably why it was making noise. She still had noises and she was told something was wrong with the alternator that was installed by this business. It was a defective alternator, but it was under warranty. They replaced it a few days after they had put one in. After installing the air conditioner, she found out that maybe she did not need to do that at all. The guy was fired because he was doing bad work . She went there because she was told they have a good mechanic and better prices than the another facility. She was told he was the only guy there and he was in a rush . She spent $700 that did not need to be spent. She added she wants to be reimbursed at least half of what she spent on the air conditioner, due to the mis-diagnosis. They told her if she had it done there they would have put the old air conditioner back in. The staff told her to talk to the owner. She will never go back to this business again.
