Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your visit. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing continued concerns with your vehicle after the service that was performed.
As stated on your invoice, all qualifying repairs performed at our shop carry a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty, and we would like the opportunity to inspect your vehicle to determine what may be causing the issue you described. If you are noticing oil loss or the oil light coming on, please bring the vehicle back to the shop so our technicians can perform an inspection and check for any possible oil leaks or other related concerns.
We would also like to note that prior to the repair being started, we did advise that this was a labor-intensive job requiring several hours to complete, as it involved removal and reinstallation of multiple components. Because repairs of this nature often take the majority of the day and can be affected by factors such as technician workflow, parts handling, and lunch breaks, we generally recommend that customers arrange to drop their vehicle off rather than wait during larger repairs. While we always work as efficiently as possible, we are unfortunately unable to shorten the time required to properly complete a repair of this size.
We understand how frustrating it can be to experience a concern after having repairs completed. Please contact our office or stop by so we can complete an inspection. Because the repair is covered under our 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty, we ask that the vehicle be returned to our shop for inspection prior to any repairs being performed elsewhere so we can properly evaluate the concern and so that you do not void your warranty.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Sincerely,
The Cortez Family
During that visit, my vehicle received the following services:
Engine Oil Cooler R&R (including removal and installation of the turbocharger)
Oil change with new filter and 4 quarts of motor oil
Reset oil change reminder
Fluid level checks
Inspection of hoses, belts, brakes, and tire pressure
Cleaning of excess engine oil
I waited approximately five hours for this service to be completed.
Unfortunately, shortly after the repair, my oil light began coming on, and I have since had to add oil to the vehicle every few days. This is very concerning, especially considering that the oil cooler was just replaced and an oil change was performed during the same visit.
Because this issue began immediately after the service, it raises serious concerns about whether something related to the repair may not have been completed correctly or whether an oil leak may have been overlooked.
At this time, I am very disappointed with the outcome of the visit. I trusted that the work performed would resolve my vehicle’s issue, not create a new one. I am now seeking a second opinion from another mechanic to determine what may be causing the vehicle to lose oil.
I wanted to provide this feedback so the situation is documented. I am out of $1300 plus dollars and no resolution.
