At the time, his son, Tommy, Jr. was 14 years old. The business filed as a corporation in 1972 as Terry-Tom-Service, named after the founders who, at the last minute with their attorney, found they could not use the “Colonial” since it belonged to another company. Today, the company operates under the DBA Colonial Transportation. Tom Sr, Tom Jr, his wife Barbara and their two sons, David and Michael, continue to own and operate Colonial Transportation. We are a three generation, family-owned business. Sadly, Terry is no longer with us. In May of this year, we will have been serving Staten Island vehicle owners for 50 years!

We love serving Staten Island! Hurricane Sandy tore through our hometown in October 2012, leaving a great deal of destruction in its wake. The Great Kills Park Marina was left covered with piles of debris until May the following year. Tommy and his sons took part of their fleet down to help with the cleanup effort so the boat ramp could re-open in time for the season. They were recognized, along with other participants, by U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm with community service certificates.

Colonial Service Station technicians are ASE certified, New York State inspection licensed with over seventy years of combined experience among them. We are an accredited Better Business Bureau [BBB] facility on file with them since 1991, have an A+ rating with no complaints on file. We are an AAA and Geico-approved auto repair facility for over twenty years.

Our facility, equipment, and trucks are updated constantly to keep up with today’s modern technology. At Colonial Service Station, we believe if you do not update, you will evaporate. So please come on in and talk to one of our family members or friendly and experienced staff. Many of them have been with us 10 to 20 years! We will do our best to make you satisfied and comfortable so you will be part of our family. Please tell a friend if you’re happy with our service. If not, tell the boss!
