Electrical issue
My normally reliable car wouldn't start. The fault initially was the clutch switch. They jumpered it and the car started right up. However, it evolved. Turned out that wasn't the only issue. Then the starter motor wouldn't engage - that is until the tech tapped it with a hammer. I was standing right there and saw him do it! I might not have believed it otherwise. I think he was more surprised than me. It's the original with plenty of miles, so I will get a replacement soon.
You can't ask for better service than that. Thanks guys.
