I worked with Ron Smith, at Christopher Dodge, who had contacted me after I completed an online application through Cars Direct. He specifically told me several times that he had an "approval" for me. I had been very clear with him that I had some credit challenges, and did not wish to waste my time, or theirs, by coming to the dealership only to be turned down. I had sent him all my info via text/email/phone, including what I could put down in cash. He kept saying, "come in and I'll go over the approval with you". Idk if he's got a different grasp of the English language than most people, but I got there to learn that he hadn't sent my information to a single bank! Lies!! Needles to say, I left without a car, and no acknowledgement of his disregard for my time. What a shameful way to earn a living.
