Good service and courteous employees
Each time I bring my Saturn to Certified Automotive, for an oil change or for a repair, I am thankful for the employees' courtesy and their taking time to explain the problem, what needs to be done, and the estimated cost. I feel safe that I won't be taken advantage of because I know very little about cars. Most recently, when the car wouldn't start and I had it towed to Certified Automotive, their troubleshooting found that I needed a new starter. I was without a car and relied on friends driving me around (and did some long walking one day). I was reminded of how dependent we are on cars (and what a tremendous timesaver they are compared to walking!) and was very thankful to get the car back and repaired. Thank you for the opportunity to compliment your good service.

Remediated a situation properly

What happened to this place?
I called to have an oil change and an oxygen sensor replaced (which they recommended before). I bought my oil and took it to them. Wrote on the envelope 1. Change oil. 2. replace oxygen sensor. 3. Do not do an A/C inspection. We were quoted the oxygen sensor was $200. When I picked up my car yesterday. My bill was over $100 but I expected that because of the oxygen sensor. I left and my check engine light was on. I called and asked why it was on. I was told because the oxygen sensor needed replaced! Apparently I was charged for a full inspection - which I did NOT ask for and my oxygen sensor was not fixed. They told me the oxygen sensor would cost $404!! I contacted them on their website and "Mike" said he would call me back to discuss. Well, that did not happen! My next move will be to the Better Business Bureau! They always treated us good until now, so I am not sure what is going on! But I do expect "business" people to keep their word!

Went out of their way to please me as a customer.
I'm aware that servicing anything related to the engine or drivetrain of a minivan is usually painful due to magical way the manufacturer designed and shoehorned it in there. Certified Auto correctly diagnosed the run/idle problem as faulty fuel injectors and vacuum leaks. Fuel injectors are costly and in a horrible location on this engine, so I was happy for their pros to do it. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and that the van runs correctly.

Fraud Victims come forward
I am filing a lawsuit against Certified Automotive for Fraud based so I would appreciate anyone else who believes they were a victim of fraud from these people to share their story.

dishonest, unprofessional, and try to take advantage of peopl
My SUV won't reverse. I was promised my SUV's transmission will be thoroughly diagnose that goes beyond just reading codes/fluids. Also, SUV was to be looked at first thing in morning, shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, and I was to be notified by 9PM. I can tell you none of this was honored. I had to call at 10am and it wasn't done yet then towards 1pm I finally got an answer. They told me it cost $2500-2800 (cost of the SUV basically) to rebuilt transmission when transmission shop across the street charges $1500. They said the fluid was black/burnt which is a lie because I changed the transmission fluid/filter myself and hasn't been driven more than 20 minutes that includes me driving SUV to them. They ended charging me a diagnose fee of about $50 for half an hour and shop supplies of $5.79 (really?) just to check my fluid which anyone can do. LOL They are a joke...dishonest, unprofessional, and try to take advantage of people. Avoid them. My transmission just needed the snap ring replace why it won't go reverse and not a rebuilt transmission.
