Honest and Knowledgeable!
Carlton can be counted on for their honesty and knowledge. When you bring your vehicle into an auto shop to be serviced you assume they are knowledgeable, but more times than not you cannot assume they are honest. Carlton is the exception to the norm, honesty to match their knowledge. Cannot recommend Carlton Auto enough!

A Model for Excellent Customer Service
We reached out to Carlton for an issue with our 2007 Toyota. Russ had us bring the car in the same day and had diagnosed the problem by the end of the day. Unfortunately the car had an issue too serious to repair. We were treated so graciously by Russ and Renee. We are grateful to have such an outstanding auto repair shop in our neighborhood and we recommend them whenever anyone is seeking a recommendation!

Best auto repair in the area
Carlton is a honest, reliable and service oriented auto repair. They never do any work that isn’t necessary.
Their communication is excellent when they call to review work needed to be done immediately (which includes costs).
They also investigate my observations (like engine growling when in a fast acceleration) to find a root cause and letting me know that it was not an immediate concern but may be later in the life of my 2009 automobile!

Great Mechanic
We recently had an electrical issue with our car. Being new to the Wheaton area we were looking for a good auto mechanic.

Excellent experience!
After hearing great things about Carlton Auto Repair I decided to try them for routine maintenance on my Acura. So happy to find this place!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful from the moment I called until when I picked up my repaired car. They were quick to respond, had great communication, detailed explanations and very reasonable prices. We had to repair a leak and airbag sensor issue. This may be the first time I left after a car repair that I didn’t feel taken advantage of. I will be returning for all my car needs!

Honest and Reliable
Carlton Auto is truly a neighborhood place. They are honest, reliable, they never do any work that isn’t necessary.
They discuss if there is an issue you may have down the road. They keep an eye on it if it’s not immediately necessary.
Renee, Russ, Bob, and staff are wonderful! With so many businesses just out to make money at the customers expense, they are a diamond in the rough!
