I sold my car to Car Buyer USA over a year ago and I removed my plates, released my liability through the DMV, and transferred my title to Car Buyer USA. Car Buyer USA did NOT unregister my car and place it under their name before sale. Due to their mistake, I was contacted by law enforcement for a car I haven't owned in over a year. This is unacceptable.
Car Buyer USA tried to tell me that this was my fault for "not removing my plates", but that is a lie. I have both of my license plates, and the DMV said they contacted the last registered owner which should have been this company, NOT me.
PLEASE avoid this shady "small business", it will save you an immense amount of stress.
