Starter
Went to get a starter replaced. Informed about the weak battery with the new starter. Pepboys is in network through the warranty along with this shop and battery installation is free when you purchase it from Pepboys so I decided to get a battery from them. Picked my car up it was already running and ready so I got in and pulled off only for it to cut off in the middle of Woodward. Got it towed back. So instead of saying hey your car is gonna cut off if you don’t get a new battery with this repair they let me drive off knowing that would happen. The price they wanted for a new battery and installation was not a problem for me to pay but knowing I could get a better price elsewhere I definitely sounded better. I still let them install the battery but no one seemed to realize the unsafe situation I was put in nor did anyone care. The mechanic who replaced the part spoke with me and for some reason thought this was a laughing matter because he smiled and laughed during this whole conversation. I was also given a discount of about $20 for the inconvenience.
