Not setup for success
I recently brought my 08 Ford Fusion in for an engine problem that was caused by a computer error/electrical problem, casuing coals to melt,sparkplugs to misfire etc. They were unable to figure out the cause of the problem and said they did not have the equipiment to make a complete diagnosis.The codes were not coming up or something along those lines. They voiced their frustration since they recently purchased new equipment from Ford that should have allowed them to make the correct readings. So I don't want to knock them completly. They reffered me to the Ford Dealership shop saying they would be equipped to handle the problem. I appreciate their openess and honesty but I feel a "Ford Authorized Mechanic" and a shop with "Ford Performence" in its name should be fully equipped to handle every and all Ford problems. I would still return to this shop in the future.

I always hate to send some one to the dealer. Unfortunetly it can happen. We were able to diagnose the problem, but have had problems flashing that computer. So rather then starting the job and then getting stuck. I decided it was in the customers best intrest to go directly to the dealer. Sorry for the inconveniance.
