Arrogant and Unempathetic Shop
The shop was both arrogant and unsympathetic this morning. Been going here for 15 years and never treated so rudely. I normally deal with Mr. Singh but he wasn’t in. I came in for emissions inspection for my 2012 Chevy Equinox on Friday and told I had a P0010 code which needed to be resolved to pass inspections. There was no other code and the cost would be $425.34. This would cover replacing Camshaft actuator position actuator solenoid intake and exhaust. I spoke with the woman at the front desk and I said I really don’t want to put that kind of money into the vehicle are you pretty certain this will solve my issue and she said sir this is the only code we see this should solve it. So I drove it 50 miles and check engine light comes back on. Brought it back to the shop and now they say you still don’t pass now we show another code, P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency below threshold Bank 1. This code did not show up on their original inspection report and so now I basically am back to square 1 minus $425.34. When asked why wouldn’t all the codes show on original report I was told it just happens sometimes. They offered no solution other than possibly spending $2000 to fix the catalytic converter and even then there was no guarantee another code wouldn’t pop up. I told the main mechanic I’ve been coming here was 15 years is there anything else we can do. He said look sir it’s a Chevy, look at what mechanics drive Hondas and Toyotas. When I told him this feels like a bait and switch he said sir “WE HAVE PLENTY OF BUSINESS SIR “. My point of this to make anyone aware that the code on the initial report may not be the only code to resolve and that you might have to spend thousands of dollars more to fix the issue and pass inspection and also to relay the message that on this morning the shop that was good for years has turned very ARROGANT and UNEMPATHETIC. I would not recommend this shop anymore.

Outstanding Work
I recently had a State Inspection and a wheel alignment done at Burke Exxon. Both services were performed professionally. I have been using their State Inspection services for several years as well as various tire services on occasions. Without exception my experiences have been exceptional.

Battery Checkup- Winter
We had our battery fail to start up at home and finally was able to turn over our suv. Decided to get gas and asked if Burke Exxon could do a battery test. Mr. Singh handled right in front of me with less than 40% life left in the battery. Changed out the battery in no time and had us back on the road! 100% great customer service and will be back if we need anything else in the future.
