I took my car here after hitting a curb that caused extensive damage. I was informed it would be $2400 to fix the car therefore I decided to fix it out of pocket versus making an insurance claim. I paid in full for my car repairs and when I picked it up I was presented with about $900 in more repairs for the car and the dashboard was full of lights for needed maintenance. How is this fair when I was told it would be $2400 to fix the vehicle in its entirety?
As I drove down Hampton Locust Grove road the car made a loud grinding noise. Brickyard Automotive butchered the vehicle enough for me to make it home. My father called them to discuss the car's current condition because it was obvious they didn’t respect me enough as a woman. The next morning I took the car back to Brickyard Automotive. Initially, they claimed nothing was wrong with the car because they drove it around the parking lot and didn't hear the noises. I called my father who insisted they take the car on the road so they could properly evaluate it. They finally reluctantly agreed and upon doing so claimed the vehicle needed additional work on top of the already paid $2400 and quoted $900 at pick up. However, they claimed I could go months to save up the money for the additional work despite the loud noise the car was safe to drive. At this point, I wished I filed an insurance claim but it was too late.
I trusted Brickyard Automotive would fix my vehicle for the agreed-upon price of $2400. I wish they were just honest enough to admit the job was too extensive for them and I would of went elsewhere. Ultimately, I ended up taking the vehicle to another automotive repair company in Locust Grove that had to redo the work Brickyard Automotive was supposed to do. When they showed me the parts Brickyrad used and how they tried to piece together my car I felt angered, saddened, and defeated.
In addition, this other shop stated they are constantly refixing vehicles that were serviced by Brickyard Automotive. I was informed I had no business driving the car and it was a severe accident waiting to happen. At that moment I realized this is why Brickyard Automotive had Bible scriptures plastered all over their shop. You are going to need the blood of Jesus if you let them anywhere near your car. Yes, I believe in Jesus but not trying to meet him anytime soon because Brickyard Automotive repairs set me up for a car accident. I have a family I need to live and provide for I dont want to leave this earth due to a preventable accident.
To date, I tried to dispute the charges through my bank and Brickyard Automotive lied stating the work was done in good faith. If I can prevent anyone else from going here with this review then I know the Lord is looking upon me saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Not only do I hope this review will save another soul from being ripped off and save lives.
