No desire to help walk-ins with concerns.
Couldn’t spare a moment to listen to the car or inquire about the issues happening. The only thing said was that if dropping off the car now they could look at it in two weeks. Being a five star review before has diminished to one with the lack of compassion and care for someone who is concerned. Even if it did need looked at deeper, a two minute check would have been enough to ensure a retuning customer that Bowser cares… they don’t. Just another big place looking for big tickets and big checks. Service center said they were short staffed and all other Hyundai places are too.. doesn’t seem true since speaking over the phone with an actual technician at another dealership and scheduling for a diagnosis in four days. I will never return and I will never suggest Bowser Hyundai to anyone.

Waited 3 hours to pick up new car
Accompanied my niece to pick up new Tucson. Her first experience with a new car purchase. Arrived at scheduled time. Apparently another customer arrived 3 hours late for their appointment and they took them ahead of us. We arrived at 5 pm and didn’t get out until 8pm. Very disrespectful and disappointing. I called and left VM for sales manager and requested follow up call to discuss. Mr. Kertes couldn’t be bothered to call me back. Also we put down a substantial amount of cash on the car and was told we needed a cashiers check which we brought. Then we were told that a cashiers check would trigger a form being sent to IRS and that we could have used a personal check which would not have triggered a report. Josh was fine as a salesperson but the decision to put another customer ahead of us was made by people above him. Not a pleasant experience. Being ignored by sales manager is not okay. Also based on my recommendation to use Bowser my niece drove from north hills to purchase car here. Won’t make that recommendation again!

Horrible customer service
Santa Fe limited less than 60k miles-CV pin problem no power from the engine. Spent our own money to have towed to the service center. went over 2 weeks without the car, under warranty, assigned a service advisor (Barb) who has no customer service sense and would not return calls and would not provide a loaner car. Contacted service manager (Brian) who would not return calls. I showed up asked to speak with Brian was asked to sit in waiting room and he would get to me. I went to where he was and asked why he did not return calls and when I would get a loaner he stated he did not get any calls to which I told him I left 3 VM if he would just check his VM he would hear the messages. Brian walked away from me said he did not have to take anything from me and told me to go rent a car from U-Haul and take it up with Hyundai. I asked who his manager was and he stated that he didn't have a boss he was the only person to talk to. He went into an office with others I went in stated how poor his and the service advisors customer service was and why I wasn't getting a new motor. Brian exclaimed that the car didn't need one and I needed to leave. I left and called Bowser Corp office and was told an executive would get back to me and never received a call back from anyone. At least a week later we received a call telling us car would be done and couple days later another call saying it would not be done and finally given a loaner car until our car was fixed 3 weeks later. After getting the car home we needed to put washer fluid in and for some reason our hood latch in the cab of the car was missing. After an hour on the phone and 2 different people a handle is being ordered so at this point we still cannot open the hood on our car.

Still waiting on warranty repair
My Hyundai Sonata has been at this dealership for a month now because my engine light came on at 42K miles. No one has ever contacted me with updates on what the issue is with my vehicle, I always had to call them every few days and was treated as if I was bothering them. I was finally told upon my calling about 2 weeks ago, that my engine needed to be replaced. I asked for a loaner car and was told they were all taken but I was on the waitlist! This is unacceptable service.. no contacts or updates and everytime I call now , I get sent to Barbs voicemail as Im sure they know who is calling. I have left 4 voicemails for Barb, no return call yet. I have been without a car for a month now and no one reaches out to let me know the status of my engine replacement. This is horrible customer service and if I ever get my car back, I will not be returning here again! And to think I even thought of trading my car and upgrading to a SUV here! Not a chance of me doing business here ever again! Im currently in the process of seeking legal advice!

Long Time Customer
I've traded in a car and bought from this particular dealer and have had my 2017 Santa Fe serviced at Bowser since I've owned it.

I was in the market to buy a new Hyundai Palisade. The only way they would give me more for my trade was if they ran my credit. Sales guy was not willing to hear anything unless credit was ran and appeared to not know some features. I was getting about 1,500 more than what they originally offered. I let them finally run credit and was pleased to see that I was getting 2k more than what they originally offered.

I saw some added fees and asked if they could throw in the etching fee, meet me half way with the document fees and throw in rubber mats for being a long time customer. (I mentioned rubber mats because I could have sworn he nonchalanty said something).

VERBATIM from sales guy: We are all in with what was on the sheet, sorry we couldn't come to an agreement. Completely dismissing me as a long time customer and appeared to not even want to be bothered with me anymore.

I then proceeded to ask for the etching fee again to be thrown in as this is a added cost and rubber mats.

VERBATIM from sales guy: I appreciate the opportunity to have been able to try and get this done for you, but the sheet has our firm and final number.

I felt this was a huge slap in my face for all the years servicing my car with them, financing through them, buying and trading. I'm supposed to have an oil change soon and will probably not come back do to feeling like a number and or a person they couldn't make top dollar on.

Alternator Issue
My alternator stopped working on a 2 year old car that had under 18,000. I had it towed to bowser and they did not help me with having a loaner or rental car. Told me they didn’t have any. I paid 2500 for a warrenty extra that covered that. I am not happy at all with my service. And they still have my car a week later. A brand new car with a extended warranty paid for and I have had to get rides to work and a ride to an important doctors appointment. I am not happy with bowser as of right now and I will find another Hyundai dealership to service my car.

Minor Hiccup turned unexpected repair
My car was brought in for inspection late March. Everything was a go ahead to pass. Got the phone call from Barb, as I usually do, that my car was ready for pickup. Per usual I get there and grab the keys, swipe the payment, and I’m off. Not five minutes down the road and it sounds like a hole in my exhaust! I didn’t have time to return that day so a few days later I go back and (mike?) I think that’s his name…was the only one there as Barb was out for the week. Well let me tell you!!! This man not only took care of my concerns and repaired the issue for free…he also fixed another thing that had been bothering me for YEARS with this car! FOR THE FREE my friends!! This place is absolutely wonderful and I could not imagine taking my vehicle anywhere else!! Okay so I’ll admit the title is dramatic, but who doesn’t love a good clickbait. If you’ve made it this far, and you’re still debating….just go! Go go go!!
