🚩 BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BOERNE AUTOMOTIVE WITHOUT READING THIS 🚩
Before you hand this shop your keys, Google "Boerne Automotive unbiased reviews." What you find will tell you everything the polished reviews at the top won't.
My wife brought in our vehicle and before anything was fixed, we were hit with a $200 "diagnosis fee." Then came the hard sell: a $2,800 tune-up. When my wife said no, he then asked, "What's your budget?" Then: "How about just the spark plugs?"
Read that again. A $2,800 "necessary" repair turned into whatever we were willing to pay, in seconds. A mechanic who's diagnosing your car tells you what it needs. A salesman asks what you can afford. In my experience, that's exactly what this was: a pitch built around how much he could get out of us, not what the car actually needed.
The rest of the experience was no better. He was argumentative, contradicted himself, and pushed more services every time we asked a question. We didn't get straight answers, and we left feeling like we'd been disrespected and completely ignored.
This doesn't appear to be a one-off. On verified platforms like Carfax, this shop sits around 3.8–3.9 stars, with roughly 1 in 5 reviews at 1 star. Read them. The same complaints come up again and again: inflated diagnostic fees, surprise charges, and hostile, combative communication from management. And look at how he responds to unhappy customers: long, defensive rebuttals justifying himself instead of taking responsibility.
When dozens of people independently describe the same experience, it's a pattern.
If you value your money and your peace of mind, go somewhere else. If you insist on using this shop, get a written estimate and written authorization before he touches your car, and don't let anyone pressure you into work you didn't ask for.
We're blushing! 😄 Thanks for recognizing our quality work and fair prices. We believe everyone deserves great service without breaking the bank. Your support keeps our engines running! 🚗✨ #QualityService #FairPrices
