I brought a 20-year-old car for a transmission inspection and air conditioning review for problems that I was experiencing. The original estimate for both inspections was around $400. Once the car was up on the rack, Dave called me immediately and said this car was not fit to drive, or safe on the highway - and ended up charging me only $75 to not waste his time, my time, or his mechanics.
I will get a second opinion of course, but I do truly appreciate safety concerns when a car that could be purposed for a newly licensed driver is at stake!
