Very disappointed

I went to look at an MDX they had for sale. After a test drive and Armend telling us about a man that had wanted the car really bad, but if we left a deposit he was out of luck. Armend took my deposit for the MDX, with plans to speak the next day. When I drove up there the next day to have my mechanic look at it, I was told the car was not ready for sale yet, that it had to go through their safety check. When I asked how they could have taken a deposit on a car that wasn't for sale, no one had an answer. I was called the next day by Will, the supposed manager, who told me the car had issues with the transmission and was sent to the auction. I asked him what auction, because my mechanic could buy it at auction and fix it for me. Will said he couldn't tell me what auction house, that there were three that they dealt with. I said I'd like to know where it went for my mechanic to get it, Will said that he would have the man that took it to auction call me by the end of the day. No call so I called this morning... no return call... so did it go to auction.. or was it sold to this other person. Things that make you wonder, wouldn't trust these people if I were you. I am all for small business's, but...
I sure hope this VIN isn't registered without a salvage title...
