December 2025 had my 2017 Ford Escape towed in by AAA with the original code "camshaft sensor" code. After paying $2,900 to correct the codes they pulled 2 days later my vehicle had the same symptoms. Suddenly now it's the engine! I'm convinced it was the engine from the beginning.
Additionally for 7 years I have had my vehicles towed to Car Doctor by AAA and after speaking with the representatives at AAA they informed me I should have received a 10% discount.
I know our nation is in a crisis and everyone has been hit by higher cost of all goods but I feel taken advantage of by someone who should be the experts. I trusted they would definitely be able to determined my vehicle had engine failure without any codes due to the symptoms given.
I'm heart broken as I have always been leery of mechanics and now more so.
