Don't buy a Hyundai.
I have a 2015 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport. Currently on its 3rd engine. Broke down 2 times in Colorado. One time the people that put it in the first time forgot to put oil in it and ruined the engine completely. Took forever to get a rental as well, because "we don't have any loaners to give away."

Fast foward to a month ago. The engine goes out again. Thank goodness I could drive it to the garage and avoided a towing fee. Guess what. It's been a month and they still haven't put the new engine in and they still don't have a loaners car for me to use, so I have to rely on other people for getting stuff that I need done, done. First I was told there were 3 people in front of me. Next day the guy said they were 6 people ahead of me. Straight up these cars are unreliable and so is their service.

Note: All 3 of these engines have been on recall. It's nice not having to pay for a new engine. But dang, this is annoying as hell. The repair garage is full if that tells you anything about Hyundai's....

Tim Obarr was my associate, and really helped us get the vehicle we wanted, wasn't expecting to leave with our new ride, but he made it happen,, great job of the whole staff !!

Poor After Sale Service/Poor Product Reliablity
Good evening Mr. Grist,
I hope this finds you well. Today I called your service department because my significant other was stranded in Reston, VA in our 2022 Hyundai Sonata SEL that would not start. I bought this vehicle from your dealership in Oct 2022 and have had nothing but issues.

I called your dealership service department and explained the situation. The woman informed me she didn't really know much about mechanical things. She then said it would be at least two weeks before the vehicle could be seen by a service technician. I asked to speak with a service technician and she replied their all at lunch at which I replied this isn’t helpful and hung up.

Another poor customer service experience with your dealership.

I had the vehicle towed to Chantilly Hyundai, rented a vehicle and hopefully they will resolve the issue.

Since purchasing this new vehicle your dealership has continually delivered the poorest customer service experiences to date. I have only had one positive experience with your service department in almost 2 years. There is no reasonable time frame for service appointments or when I call about an issue like when the fuel injectors went out and stranded my significant other in Alexandria, VA , I’m told sorry we are booked up maybe take it to another dealership for assistance.

This vehicle has been in and out of several different dealerships in northern VA because of mechanical issues and when I call your dealership for assistance I’m given no resolution or assistance.

I was promised when I paid top dollar for this commuter car that I would receive excellent customer service from your dealership and to date that has only happened one time. Honestly I am so fed up with your dealership service department, the vehicle and its continued mechanical issues that I am strongly considering trading it in on a more reliable product at a dealership who will honor my purchase with service.

I certainly can’t be the only CMA customer who has had this experience at your dealership. I can’t believe your management or others would approve of this type of customer service to a 100% disable veteran that served 6 combat tours in defense of our nation.

Sir, why do I continue to have these issues and what are you going to do to resolve them?

Your dealerships customer service is unacceptable and poorly reflects on CMA, the dealership, you and your staff.

********MORAL OF MY LONG STORY: Not worth it if you're a woman. Definitely make the drive to Leesburg, Brown's Hyundai of Leesburg (703-443-2220)  specifically and ask for Carlos, he's the man***********
 My car went in for a 45 minute diagnostic appointment and left with an onslaught of unrelated new issues. There was a computer update performed while my car was there for the diagnostic appointment and I immediately thought it may be related to the computer update because all of the issues seemed computerized (dashboard lights, electronic locks no longer working, no blinkers, warning alarms ringing). I wasn't initially upset because I figured any company would make that right for you. Wrong, not CMA. First, Jason McDevitt asked me multiple times if I was "sure" it wasn't happening before... lol yes very sure alarms werent loudly banging in my ears non stop and that my doors locked and blinkers worked but thanks. Then, Jason took a quick look under the hood and said since he saw some aftermarket parts (I had previously hit an animal and had body work done) that the previous body work was definitely the issue here. Sounded ridiculous to me but to cover all my bases I took my car back to the body shop. The body shop immediately said it sounded like a computer update issue but offered to take the car in and make sure it had nothing to do with my body work... spoiler alert, it didn't. Then I had a consult with another mechanic who told me it seemed like an issue with the computer update and that I needed to go to a Hyundai dealership. I called many times before even being able to speak to anyone at CMA's Hyundai and when I finally got a call back I was told I would have to set up a diagnostic appointment, costing $150 and their next available appointment was May 30th... this was on 4/28 so more than a month out. When I wasn't happy with the situation or their offer to charge full price and schedule me a month out I was told I am argumentative. I told them it is customer service 101 to write off the $150 and get me back in quickly, since these issues happened AT MY DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT W THEM. They disagreed and told me they "don't work for free" and wouldn't do a no cost exam. At this point the obvious choice was to go to another Hyundai dealership. I called the awesome people at Brown's Hyundai in Leesburg, Carlos got me in the NEXT BUSINESS DAY AND WROTE OFF THE EXAM FEE!!!!! As a total stranger with zero responsibility to me Carlos at Brown's gave me everything I ever asked of CMA's. Then, the best part, when I took it into Brown's they quickly saw that CMA's had botched my computer upgrade, the computer upgrade they ran at CMA's crashed and no one ever did anything about it or reran it, they just gave it back to me with a crashed computer system. Brown's in Leesburg fixed the issue super fast and at no charge. I will never waste my time, energy, and money at CMA's again. Oh and the icing on the cake??? CMA's had quoted me $1,000 for the issue I was originally coming in for, Brown's gave me a new quote of $600 for the exact same work and now I am scheduled to get that work done in the next few days. CMA cost themselves $1,000 (as I was planning on getting repairs done there before this) and this review will probably cost them at least one $150 exam, which is all I ever wanted them to do. Ya played yaselves, CMA.

From the moment I walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. They worked very to get to drive off in a new vehicle. They explained all of my options. And when I brought my vehicle in for service I was still treated like I was still their number o e customer.

The service department is friendly and informative. The waiting time is reasonable. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. I only give 4 stars because their exceptional, the fifth would be a rare case of extraordinary.

Paid 1700 dollars for a repair and the car is worse than when I took it in.
They didn't repair it correctly. Got the car back and it feels like the motor is coming apart when you are sitting at a traffic light. Called them and told them and the service writer tells me they are a month out on scheduling and it would cost me 149 dollars diagnostic fee. Really????
