Fixed one thing, broke another
As a long time customer of Ambassador Automotive we struggled this time around. We had the Air Conditioner fixed and a battery replaced, that was great. But, they didn't hook up an alternate power source when disconnecting the battery, and as such, when the car was returned the front speakers are blown out. They wanted to charge us $550 to repair that. Without these speakers the Bluetooth audio for phone calls doesn't work. That's a major feature of your car to lose as a result of an Air Conditioner repair. When talking through the issue they weren't receptive to the idea that they caused this damage. They have to do what's right for them and protect their bottom line and avoid paying for the needed repair (that they caused). We have to do what's right for us in choosing a mechanic going forward. It's a bummer, we always had a great relationship with Ambassador, but this wasn't right.

After the A/C repair & battery replacement, the customer called us to say her Bluetooth wasn’t working.  She said it worked once the next day and then stopped.  So, the last time it worked, it was in her possession, not ours. We checked it out and determined the Bluetooth was working, however the two main speakers that it uses were not working.  We wanted her to come into the shop and show her the issue, however she said she couldn’t come and for us to put it back together.  Replacing a battery without an alternative power source doesn’t blow out speakers.  If it did, each day thousands of do-it-yourselfers would be blowing out their own speakers.  The purpose of the battery backup is so we don’t have to re-initialize the power windows, sunroof, etc., after battery replacement.  So, we don’t know where she got that idea, but she has stuck to it and wouldn’t even listen to our offer to discount the price for her
