Did Allied get too busy? Not the same service experience I received 2 months ago.
Called for an appointment for my 1997 Mustang Cobra. State inspection and bumper to bumper review. Inspection no issue and they came back with a list of 7 items they suggested should be addressed. I reviewed with the supervisor and agreed that in the 22 years i had the car none of the suggested work was ever done. The car is only driven 2,000 miles a year so the suggested work was reasonable. I said is there anything else and responded no. the first issue was getting the work done. Because of logistics i wanted to leave the car and have the work done. I got push back as the said they were booked and i would have to bring the car back. Unacceptable in my opinion. This was on a Thursday 8/25. That gave them Fir, Sat and at worst Monday to do the work. Finally on 8/1 I called to see if the car was done. I get a message that they suggested one more repair be made. Excurse me after 8 days later they find another suggested repair. That took me a bit over the top and I thought this sounded like an effort to oversell services. At that point I had enough. I was asked if I wanted to speak to the owner and I said no, I just want to pick up my car. 8 days and not done, i was told i could [pick up at 5:00 on 9/1. My concern is when repairs are done over an extended period of time was it done properly? Time will tell. Interesting that after the inspection i got 4 requests for my opinion on the service. After the last experience i did not get a request for my experience. I thought I finally found a auto repair shop that provided good service at reasonable prices. Disappointed in trying to accommodated me and my schedule, the time it took to get the work done and the in my opinion a bit of oversell and attitude. I do not think that they want me as a customer and now I am not sure that I want them as my auto shop. Too bad.
