the Price mark up parts is too high.
I was stunned at the quote of $350 for a new Battery. What in the world is going on.?

Hi Michael, I tried to call you and left a voicemail, but I have not heard back. I agree, repairs & maintenance on vehicles today can seem expensive, I have been around long enough to remember being able to tune a car up for $250 and that is not the case anymore. I hope you understand that it is not due to any kind of excessive mark ups on our pricing, it is simply the "cost of doing business" as they say. If we can't make a small profit on our services, then we are simply not going to be able to afford to stay in business, that is just the reality of it.  Trust me when I say nobody here is going home to a 6000 sq ft. mansion or planning any summer trips on their yachts, that is for sure. The battery we quoted you lists for $210 on Interstate's website, not including installation or sales tax. Using a quality HD battery from Interstate is certainly not the most economical route to go, but the battery has a great nationwide warranty and so do we. One of the other reasons we spend the extra money on Interstate is the quality and long term use the batteries typically provide compared to different options out in the market. When you pay us to install the battery, we are cleaning/servicing the terminals and inspecting for any issues with the cables, making sure the battery hold down is in good shape and present. We also will install the replacement battery at no charge labor if the new battery fails within it's warranty period. We don't offer cheaper/less expensive options because I am not going to sacrifice the longevity/quality of a repair/service we provide by offering a subpar product.
