Cristina said the service is very nice. The staff took the time to call and tell her they were not able to finish vehicle today, and she could pick up it up or leave it there. She felt comfortable leaving her vehicle with the business. She says the service is always top-notch. She hasn't had to return her vehicle for more updates or another fix.

Oil change
Have known A-1 for a long time. Very trustworthy and reputable business. Very nice clean waiting area with snacks and a great staff. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Good prices also.

I found an auto shop I trust!
My son’s 2005 Acura TL broke down and he took it to a shop in Sherwood that quoted him $1100 for an alternator replacement. They also quoted a ton of money for power steering pump replacement. I called A1 Automotive in Portland and had the car towed there. The whole team at A1 were amazing. They found nothing wrong with the power steering pump. They replaced the brakes, tires, spark plugs and serviced the transmission for a very reasonable price. We will be back for other service. This shop is the best. It’s really hard to find a trust worthy shop but I found one at A1 Automotive!

Finally Found A Solid, Trustworthy Mechanic In Portland
Great communication. Didn't charge me for some diagnostic work. Located the source of a weird sound. I'll be using them for suspension work-cheaper than Les Schwab.

Used car check
We were purchasing an old truck. A1 was very helpful working with us on a tight schedule. We were able to wait and the feedback was great. Casual, laid back, and personal atmosphere. They know what they are doing.

Top notch.
Very impressed by information on car status along with oil change. I had an low tire light that other mechanics were unable to shut off. A1 corrected it without me asking at no charge.

Amazing customer service
We have been taking our cars here for service for a long time and would not go anywhere else. The people are great and they always look after our cars like they were theirs. Once you try them you wont go anywhere else for service
