Customer called in stating that he believed his vehicle had a bad turbo seal and that it was making a sound like it was "Under water".Before this vehicle was towed into our shop the customer was informed that we alway charge diagnosing for anything brought in running bad/No starts/ electrical issues. We charge a flat fee for diagnosing (which the customer agreed to, and signed papaer work for) When the vehicle was towed in,Someone else had already started work on it, it was already torn apart, which actually makes our job more difficult. After spending time on it, we found that the timing had skipped, and informed the customer that in his best interest, he should replace the engine. The vehicle has almost 270,000 miles on it with more issues (besides the engine). We talked to the customer and told him that in our opinion the vehicle's repairs would be far beyond the value. The customer wanted us to go ahead and get together an estimate to replace the engine. After spending time to do that, The customer decided he wanted to just take it and have someone else do the work. We told him tht he would still just owe the original agreed upon amount for diagnosing. He took 2 weeks to have it towed out, Which normally we would charge $25 a day for storage but we were trying to help him out. When the customer came in the pay his bill he never stated that he was disatisfied in any way. We were shocked by this review. He paid the bill, and left. If he has an issue with our services it would have been better to talk to us about it so we can get it resolved.
