I brought my vehicle in for diagnosis and repair of an EVAP system issue and paid for the recommended work. After the repair, the same code returned. Even the warranty company indicated the repair should have been properly verified before the vehicle was released.
I contacted the shop professionally and explained that I had already paid for diagnosis and repair of this issue previously, and that this appeared to be a continuation of the original unresolved problem rather than a new concern. I asked them to review the prior repair order, the codes involved, and the verification steps performed before charging me additional fees.
Instead, I was told I would need to pay another diagnostic fee ($140) and likely additional repair costs to retrieve my vehicle. I do not believe customers should be charged repeatedly for the same unresolved issue when the original repair was not properly confirmed as fixed before release, and at least discounted on the first time, because it takes much time and inconvenience to return to the shop a second time, and I paid to have it fixed the first time, and so did the warranty company, who logically would not pay again.
I attempted to resolve this respectfully and reasonably, but the response was more than disappointing. They conveniently tried to frame it as a separate issue, debated me in the office, and refused to negotiate even though it was their mistake. I would not recommend this company to anyone lest something go wrong and they just try to get your money.
