After retiring in 2019, I decided to start traveling to see more of the USA. I researched various trailers and campers and the amount of information was overwhelming. I talked to J.J. and Adam (Dealers/owners) of A & H Quality Cars (A&H) about my plans and what I was looking for. Within 40 days, J.J. located a 2018 JAYCO Travel Trailer that met my needs exactly.
I thought I could pull it with my Volvo Wagon but it was 500 lbs over limit of the wagon's limit. I asked J.J. to locate a truck capable of towing the travel trailer. A miracle happened. (A&H) found a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 that could easily tow the camper. Initially, 2004 seemed too old. (Rarely said at my age ? ), however, I was astonished at the condition of the truck. A Dodge RAM 1500 SLX Hemi engine, with 105,000 single-owner, original miles. The former owner took meticulous care of the truck and it really shows.
Unfortunately, 2020 will be remembered for nothing but the COVID-19 Pandemic. Nearly all campgrounds and national parks closed for much of the 2020 season. While waiting for campgrounds to re-open, they were able to upgrade the camper security adding to my comfort level.
Nothing but praise for J.J. and Adam and I highly recommend the dealership to everyone. Great customer-service and great warranty program. They provided me with additional information on towing techniques and are overall good people. J.J. spent several hours teaching me to back-up while towing a camper.
