I recently faced significant issues with my car's air conditioning system, which led to water leaking
behind the dashboard. Initially, I took my car to the Audi dealer in Sugar Land, expecting a professional assessment. However, I was shocked when they quoted me a staggering $17,500 for repairs, claiming that water damage had severely impacted the electrical system. To add to my frustration, they informed me that my warranty with Carshield wouldn't cover water damage.
Feeling uncertain about the dealer's diagnosis and costs, I decided not to proceed with the repairs and paid AUDI of Sugar Land $570 to release the car. Instead, I sought a second opinion from another service center in Sugar Land. They offered to fix the car for $3,400 but also noted that they didn’t work with Carshield and reiterated that water damage wouldn't be covered.
At this point, I contacted Carshield directly to clarify the situation. I specifically asked if water damage from the air conditioning system would be covered, and to my surprise, they confirmed that it would be if it was indeed related to the AC. They recommended a shop in Stafford near Sugar Land, which gave me hope.
I took my car to Porter Customs. LLC auto Movil service in 2636 , 5th St Suite 13, Stafford, Texas 77477 and the experience was a breath of fresh air. Within three days, they called me back with an honest assessment: they found that a water hose was simply plugged. They fixed the issue at no charge, demonstrating their integrity and commitment to customer service.
In summary, my experience with the Audi dealer raised questions about their honesty and pricing, while Porter Customs showcased what a trustworthy service looks like. I highly recommend seeking alternatives to the Audi dealer in Sugar Land and will return to Porter Customs for any future needs. Their integrity and professionalism were truly refreshing.
