Bes

I bought a 2011 Crown Victoria Police interceptor. I have had it for about 2 years. I loved it so much I bought another one for my son. My son has a 2005. It initially was just a decoration to put in my driveway. However, I really enjoyed it. It was promoted to daily driver. I added a pioneer screen, CB radio, rear camera, viper alarm system, spotlights, pushbar, etc. It has been nothing short of amazing. It has 100,000 miles. It has not given me one single problem. I love everything about it: the styling, performance, roomy cabin. It feels like an indestructable tank. I cannot foresee the engine dying for many miles. The only negative is the rear doors wont open from the inside. I have to fix that somehow. It seems a little dangerous for the passengers. I wish these were still made. I suppose they now have a cult following.

Be careful when buying these cars

Mine only had 105,000 before it blew. Those cars are supposed to go 400,000 at least. Well I got a bad deal so go to actions. You will have to put in New heavy duty breaks and be prepared to flush the motor $500.00 also new battery is often needed a long with a starter or alternator just be sure you know what your looking for at auction before you buy an ex police interceptor

Crown Victoria review

Ford were out of there mind to stop making this powerful, rugged and reliable car. There’s a reason they were preferred by police, taxi drivers, and others like me - with the LX civilian version. Mine is one of the very last built in late 2011

Last of the Greatest

In 2018 I bought a brand new Ford Taurus SHO and later came to regret my decision. Being a bit of a car buff, I recently decided to sell it while it was still worth something and buy another daily driver that was a little more reliable for the long haul. The panther platform was the last solidly built and reliable car that Detroit ever turned out. The family includes the Mercury Marauder, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Towncar, and of course the Ford Crown Victoria. This car is absolutely solid. It rides smooth and runs relatively quiet. I feel safe inside, insulated from most hazards of driving. Back in 2006, I was involved in a catastrophic crash while driving a Crown Vic. They're built like tanks and I'm alive today to tell the tale. The car is large and lacks many of the modern so-called safety features such as a backup camera and blindspot alert, etc. You DRIVE this car, it doesn't drive you. 2011 was the last year for them. If you're old fashioned and prefer a real car as opposed to the modern day plastic pieces of crud, this is the ride for you. Not very fuel efficient, but it wasn't meant to be. If you value safety and reliability, this car will last you forever as long as you take care of it because that is what it was designed for: fleets, taxis, and patrol cars. There are some Towncars still serving as limousines with 300,000 miles on the odometer. Seek out other information and reviews for yourself. The last full-size body-on-frame rear-wheel-drive executive class V8 sedan is truly the pinnacle of American engineering and comfortable to drive. Space in the cabin, space in the trunk, space under the hood to work if you are so inclined.

Ford Crown Victoria 2011

A very reliable car, with ease of maintenance. I could buy it again and again, but sorry, no longer in production. Good road stability, but road traction is poor on snow and rain. Will miss inability for a repeat purchase.

This has been one of the better vehicles I've owned. Very reliable and trouble free.

Cool wheels

Really like the car but wished it didn't have so many miles. Wish they still made them
