lush. Then my son suggested I call Gearhead, he had seen they had gotten really good reviews on Yelp. I went to the website and saw that you could send an appointment request online so I did. Daniel got back to me within an hour of the request. He answered all of my questions quickly and was able to schedule me an appointment to have my transmission serviced the same day. When I arrived he greeted me with a smile! He was very patient with all of my questions and very detailed with his answers. Daniel told me how long it would take to service the car and I when came back at that time and the vehicle was ready to go. He is a very sweet and honest guy and I hope to have him as my mechanic for a long while.

Absolutely outstanding service from Larry at Sunwest Transmissions!
I brought my Ram Promaster in ex
pecting to drop a ton of cash on an auxiliary transmission cooler and gauge to keep temps in check while towing this summer. Larry took the time to thoroughly inspect the van, then surprised the hell out of me by saying the factory cooler was actually pretty damn impressive in size and that I probably didn’t need to throw money at another one right away.
Instead, he recommended starting with just installing a transmission temperature gauge so I could actually monitor the temps under real towing conditions. He suggested that if the temps still ran hot after testing, the next smart (and much cheaper) step would be flashing the ECM and adjusting the cooling fan speeds before jumping straight to an auxiliary cooler.
Larry was knowledgeable, straightforward, and genuinely looking out for my wallet instead of trying to upsell me on unnecessary work. In a world full of shops that love to drain your bank account, it’s refreshing as hell to find someone this honest and experienced.
Highly recommend Sunwest Transmissions and especially Larry. Saved me money and gave me solid, practical advice. Thanks, man!
