I took my truck to another shop to get some work done, while it was there, I had them give me an esti
mate for an oil leak. In the process, they missed the large leak that I was asking about, which ended up being a loose oil filter. I will say I’m the one who did the last oil change on it, evidently I didn’t get it quite tight enough. The technician at Apple Valley car clinic took his time and diagnosed that that was my problem. So in the end, he tightened the oil filter and cleaned everything up so as to verify additional leaking from that area. So far, I’ve not had any issues and that was three days post visit. Now at the clear, yes the other leaks that were mentioned by the other company are valid, but we’re not as valid to leave a 6 to 8 inch puddle underneath the truck after every time I drove it. Those were more so condensation and wet seal situations, can’t really complain with a 25year old truck with 135xxx miles on it.

This shop is well worth the drive, even though another shop is closer to where I live. My initial es
timate included the possibility of belt replacement and tension adjustment. They even received the potentially needed parts for it but also indicated that it may not be needed. They did not need to do this and let me know. They do not do unneeded work which is why I have high trust in their integrity. Thank you!
