I have a Honda civic 2010 with 97,000. This was the first time the engine light ever appeared so I to
ok the car to auto zone to run a free diagnostic and find the error code(s) that were causing the light to illuminate. They printed out the error codes that identified the cooling system as the problem.
Brought the car right over to Harry and the mechanic took me immediately and determined the problem was the thermostat and sensor had gone bad. They ordered the parts and within 2.5 hours my car was done. Fast service and reasonable price! I had noticed in the past that my temperature gauge had fluctuated in an unusual way but the car never overheated and there was never a problem. I never thought the thermostat could have been faulty however with the new thermostat and sensor the gauge remains in the middle where it belongs at all times.
