Fun and Beautiful

Top down, +3500 RPM is the sweet spot. The car loves to be in the curves, but also loves to be above 80 mph. It isn’t the most comfortable to drive in areas prone to potholes obviously, but on the back roads there isn’t a better ride for the money.

Expensive to own but worth every penny! Classic Porsche design, superb engineering, excellent power to weight ratio, parts readily available, easy car for the DYI’er most fun you can have on four wheels!

Can't beat these cars for the money!

We have a 2000 Boxster S with a 6 speed manual and a Carrera S motor so it has the power of the 911 S and the handling advantages of the mid-engine layout. Never driven a car that was this much fun, and I've driven lots of cars. Great fun, and easy to work on, lots of aftermarket support too! Snag one before the prices start rising!

85,000 miles in a 2000 Porsche Boxster S

We have driven our 2000 Porsche Boxster S over 85,000 miles with very little trouble. IMS bearing was replaced pro-actively at 78,000 miles. Had two row bearing and no wear. Beautiful car, great handling and performance! We may never sell this car, we love it so much. Our first convertible and now spoiled! Have driven car thru 7 National Parks out West (8,400 miles) and countless mountain passes with flawless handling and shifting with Tiptronic S transmission - best of both worlds - can either shift or leave in auto. Even has Launch Mode if you put car in Manual and floor it - car will redline and shift at maximum output in each gear. Impossible to over rev engine. What a rush!

My 2000 Porsche Boxter

The car drives like a charm, great acceleration and I love the interior design, so economical and well done, you feel like you are in a ship captain's cabin. Even after all these years it still looks like new and I get lots of compliments.
