Buy your car somewhere else!
My 19 yr old daughter purchased her first car from them. She came in from Texas since when we lived in IL this dealership helped her charity out. See her charity story at https://www.wrex.com/coats-for-hope/video_40443e16-7cbe-59a4-9088-a79e38f60d13.html She felt she owed it to them. She purchased her new car all on her own on July 5th, 2023. Today is Nov. 30th 2023 and she still does not have her registration or plates for the vehicle. The dealer put her old plates on the car and told her it would be 2 to 4 weeks to get her new plates. We call weekly and still no plates. They sent us "proof" of it being sent in but not until 9/26/2023 and says it will take 15 to 20 days. It has been a month and still nothing. The state of Texas DMV has no attempt to register this vehicle or title it as of today also. RIPOFF Artist and would never do business with them ever again. Nothing but them blowing smoke up our As***! Go anywhere but this place or any Anderson Dealership if you are buying a new or used car.

As far as Hyundai we like the car my stepson bought new. Don’t really like that we found out the hard way that they are extremely easy to steal. I think Hyundai needs to step up the security on all there vehicles to help prevent theft. I like a lot of the models but unfortunately this one bad issue my keep us from buying Hyundai again. Paying a little extra for higher end cars is worth it in the long run.

I brought my frustrations regarding a misquoted service estimate to the service manager.
He promptly apologized, promised to improve training for the service reps and even reimbursed me for the overage!

Prepare to overpay
What they tell you you will pay is about half of what you will actually pay. And they don’t own that mistake either. It’s more like, “joke is on you, pay up!!”

Mostly just oil changes
Everyone is nice that I have meet working at this location. I have had better experiences elsewhere but they are all acceptable here. We usually do our oil changes here. They are higher for the services they preform but that’s not unusual for a dealership. Wish they would do something’s like the prior Saturn dealership did. Like customer appreciation days, special deals on oil changes, etc. I think it would draw new business into the service center and showroom.

All went well.
I liked the service was provided well and in a timely manner. I hope they can do as well when I take it back in to find out why the blind spot sensor turns off occasionally when I am driving.

Follow up
They have a great service manager named Bret. Upon my last review I was not given the mechanical recommendations for my vehicle. When Bret found out this information he called me to make sure my vehicle was brought back in for them to do a full check up and diagnostics scan. He was polite through the whole process and it reminded me of why I choose them for my vehicle services.

Service issues
When the employee brought over the reccomended service there was no mention of my check engine light being on. The staff member was more focused on trying to sell me $1,000 worth of tires for my vehicle. When i asked about the check engine light he responded with he didn’t know it was on because he didn’t check my vehicle in and the new employee who pulled the vehicle in didn’t mention it. When i asked if they could scan it since that’s my first concern he told me no I needed to make a separate appointment. What is also odd is the reccomended list of items for me vehicle only included tires and nothing that was mentioned to me for my last visit. I don’t understand how my vehicles reccomended maintenance had changed to only needs tires now that me engine light is on.

My 2016 Sonata apparently has an oil usage issue which I feel Hyundai is not taking care of. I am on my 3rd oil consumption test. Each time the oil usage is well within Hyundai's range according to the dealer. I feel in the next 5-6 months, I would like to trade in my Sonata & was interested in a possible Hyundai SUV. But under these circumstances, I don't feel comfortable with this company & I'm very sad about this. I've always thought Hyundai was a very honorable company & loved driving my 2009 Santa Fe & my 2016 Sonata. I just do not feel comfortable getting another one that could possibly have the same issue. I met two customers with newer Hyundai vehicles that are going through the same issue with no better outcome. These two customers were very upset as well. Hyundai needs to stand behind their vehicles & make sure their long-time customers are taken care of as well!

Have been a loyal customer to Hyundai for 22 years. After a very long miserable experience with the service center will never go back or refer anyone there ever again. Was told numerous times by service staff that "Hyundai doesnt care".

Good Morning , i apologize there was some time delays in your repairs and in our process . yes there was some delay in getting back to you as we were waiting for Hyundai Motor America to give us the approval to put you in a vehicle . They don't approve rentals on every vehicle that has a recall especially a almost 13 year old vehicle.  they finally did approve a rental for you for the complete time while your vehicle was in . and yes those parts were and still are on national back order , to be honest there are still people waiting for there parts that were ordered before yours . if you would like we can speak further in detail on some of the concerns and unfortunate restraints that we have to follow per Hyundai's guidelines for repairs .

NO HAGGLING HERE, ONLY HONEST PROFESSIONALS
I don't even know where to begin! I thought I knew what I wanted to purchase, but after I ran around Rockford looking for a 2022 Kia without any success
Even after hearing on the news how difficult it is to get a vehicle during this pandemic I couldn't believe how true that is! So I was ready to say forget it, until I was told by another dealer that if I want a Kia to go down the street just north of State Street and because they only sell Chevy's! Anyways my real reason for wanting to switch to a Kia is the 10-year warranty! I'm tired of buying used cars, and haven't had a brand new one since 2005! I walked into Hyundai on Perryville and met ANDREW BERGEN I told him what I was looking for he told me they don't sell them! I said I'm so disappointed I can't find a Kia and they're the only vehicles I know that offer a 10 year warranty! That's when my joy began! He informed me that Hyundai is the only company that offers a 10 year warranty! I told him I didn't know that so what NEW CROSSOVERS do you have! Of course the 1st question is how much you want to spend! So I tell him I don't want to talk numbers! I want to talk vehicles! Now I've never bought a vehicle where the salesperson didn't want to talk numbers FIRST, and I expected I get ignored and he'd rather talk to my husband, but no he offers my husband and I a seat and we talked vehicles! Then I asked to see the Kona as I HAD NO CLUE! It's a small vehicle and yes it wasn't what I was looking for, but it turned out to be a real blessing for me! But WHAT I APPRECIATED MORE THAN ANYTHING WAS NOT ONCE DID ANDREW BERGEN HAGGLE ME!!! He even told me where I can go to look for a Kia went there 1st, but they weren't open yet! He actually went to check with one of his other colleagues who has access to Hyundai inventory coming into the area! He returned, and told me they didn't have any but they have one coming in later in the month of course my husband and I being a little skeptical even though at this point we trusted him, we went to see for ourself because they were open now! We drove back to the other side of town just to find out that EVERYTHING ANDREW BERGEN HAD TOLD US WAS TRUTHFUL! We went back to Hyundai on Perryville as we told ANDREW BERGEN if they didn't have the Kia we would be back and get the Kona and that's what we did!!! Most dealers will not let you out the door WITHOUT HAGGLING YOU! Andrew BERGEN also didn't have to run back and forth and spend countless hours playing with numbers! We walked in there and spent about 3 hours making a decision, signing papers, and getting tons of help on how 2 use the apps for the vehicle! ANDREW BERGEN SHOWED US EVERY SINGLE FEATURE ON THE VEHICLE, AND HOW TO USE IT!!! HE THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING! The finance manager LUKE NELSON WAS JUST AS NICE AS ANDREW!!! Of course I thought Luke would have me signing a dictionary full of papers and later I'd find out that I was paying for more than I was told, you know the hidden fees junk you're never told about!!! Nope, there were NO SURPRISES, NO HIDDEN FEES, AND NO HAGGLING NO TRYING TO ADD THINGS I DIDN'T WANT/NEED!!!
Long story short if you are looking for a NEW OR USED VEHICLE AND ARE TIRED OF HAGGLING SALES REPS WAISTING YOUR TIME running back and forth to their Finance managers or their whoever makes the decisions!!! PLEASE DON'T, unless you just like that kind of thing! STOP INTO HYUNDAI ON PERRYVILLE FIRST!!! Because I trust THEY WILL MAKE YOU ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER!!! I'm sure ANDREW BERGEN wouldn't mind if you CALL him at 815-229-0089 and tell him that I sent you or email him at Andrew.bergren@Driveanderso.com if for some reason you can't find him at 343 North Perryville Road in Rockford Illinois, I'm sure EVERY SALES REPRESENTATIVE there will likely treat you the same, but Andrew has a real wonderful, caring, honest, and humble personality, and HE WILL SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOU!!! OH I ALSO GOT MY PLATES AND STICKERS PUT ON MY KONA BY ANDREW BERGEN HIMSELF BEFORE I DROVE OFF IN MY BRAND NEW HYUNDAI KONA!!! ???
