After my car failed the smog test, I first took it to J & M Transmission and Auto Care in Tracy. Afte
r their inspection, I was honestly mortified — they came back with a long list of recommendations that would have cost us thousands of dollars. It felt overwhelming and discouraging.
Thankfully, after talking with my mother and neighbors, they all strongly recommended Ripon Auto Repair, saying they are very honest and focused on what truly needs to be done — without costing you an arm and a leg.

The team at Ripon Auto Repair was incredibly honest, helpful, and transparent. They clearly explained what actually needed immediate attention versus what could safely wait. What impressed me most was that they prioritized the repairs based on necessity and our ability to pay, instead of pressuring us into doing everything at once.
