2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

We like the vehicle. It has not given us any trouble in the first 1,000 miles that we owned it. The hard part of automobile is to try and find out what button on the dash board does what and then locate it. They are really small and are not lit well.

Tech is a double edged sword

2025 Hyundai Tucson HEV is a spacious vehicle with a comfortable ride that combines fuel efficiency with a sleek, modern feel. Unfortunately, there are some very significant drawbacks to this vehicle and one minor annoyance that you will deal with so often, it will become major. The vehicle driver assist features sometimes are convinced you are about to get into a collision and will yank the wheel so hard you almost do. Someone turns the corner in front of you? It will grab the wheel and pull hard as well as setting off alarms. Frankly, this is terrible. It should alert you but never take control from you. The minor issue is the door lock and unlock. It does not work well and is a frustrating pain every time you want to enter or exit your vehicle. If I had to do it again, I would absolutely not buy this vehicle and I recommend others pass on it as well.

The limited trim

Lots of great features on this hybrid in the limited trim. I even got a wind crosswind safety warning along with the appropriate vehicle response the first day I drove it. I didn’t even know that feature was available and I had read all the available reviews.

Best vehicle I have ever owned

I pretty much had pre-decided to get the hybrid, I am super happy with my decision. While it took a while to get used to the hybrid set up, the lack of gear shift (now a push button on a steering column arm) was a big one. I love the big screen and the ride. The ride is amazing, smooth and quiet and not just when the hybrid engine is running. The standard features are perfect for what I wanted. The adaptive cruise control is amazing!!

Good car - the tech is not great

I like the car but the computerization has issues with the driver assistance. And when traveling over 70 there is a high pitch hum undoubtedly created by the fancy grill

The more I drive my Tucson…

I’ve driven my new 2025 Tucson Hybrid Limited about 1000 miles and I think the driving experience keeps getting better. The adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance are some of my favorite features.

Like a baby Palisade, only better

After 9 Infiniti Autograph SUVs, I UPGRADED to my Tucson Hybrid Limited. I even enjoy it more than my Palisade Calligraphy. Excellent handling, gas mileage, pep, cargo capacity, and comfort. The one thing that can be improved is the steering wheel, which is a little too firm - needs more leather or something.

Love the car but it broke down after a month

We test drove all the SUVs in the class and chose the Tucson due to its size, comfort, and drive experience. We average about 38 MPGs with this hybrid. Being able to start the car remotely from the app is pretty cool and we use it often to cool down the car before driving. The issue is after only 1300 miles and a month of ownership, the car broke down. It has been at the dealership waiting for a replacement battery for 31 days now. The dealer was able to give us a loaner while we wait for the repair. Hopefully they will be able to repair it soon or we will have to look at pursing a lemon law claim and have Hyundai buy it back. We do love the car -- when it was working that is.

Great vehicle

The Hyundai Tucsan Hybrid Limited is the best car that I've owned (78yrs. old). It's quiet, fuel efficent, drives very well on all roads, and has excellent acceleration. In the past I've had Mazdas and Lincolns. I prefer the Tucsan to both. The interior is comfortable and stylish as is the exterior.

Great technology compared to competitors!

I was looking for a hybrid SUV in this size class and test drove a few different vehicles. I ended up with the Tuscon because of its roomy interior, how well it handled, and because of the dashboard. The technology in this car is way ahead of its competitors and really was a selling point for me. Additionally the interior is designed to maximize the space and it felt so much bigger than comparably sized vehicles.

The best features don't work.

First thing, I overpaid for my car. It was advertised to get 35 mpg. I got worst gas mileage than my RAV-4. They discovered the Hybrid part wasn't turned on. I still only get about 31 mpg. It's worse on the highway, but better in the city than my other car. The heads-up display keeps turning off. The dashboard will display all the sensors lights for some reason - intermittent issue. Occasionally, I'll come out and the fan is running - it's like the car is turned on in accessory mode. So many things wrong with this car. I got a lemon and I don't know how to get out of it since I overpaid for it. I was told it retains its value better than Toyota now - it lost $10,000 in value in the first week. I'm stuck with it.
