"Little Blue" is a fun runaround car

We bought this car for errands around town. It is reliable. It is easy to park. It is fun to drive. It's handy to put things that are dirty in the truck bed (plants and gardening items). There is virtually no room in the back seat. It is used to hold groceries. Very basic features. The Hyundai dealership is the worst. I have been tempted to sell this car just because the dealership is so poor. The reason I would not recommend this car to a friend is because of the poor dealership service.

I love this truck! It’s fun to drive because it’s more like a sports car & has a lot of speed when needed. Draws a lot of attention because of the sporty & slick body style. Having a small truck is very convenient for shopping

Love my Little truck

I love the ride, mpg, styling! Hands down the best vehicle I’ve ever purchased. The safety features on the sel Awd is all I need. Hyundai hit the mark designing the Santa Cruz. My dog and I take it everywhere. Mountains, lakes, beach, camping- no problem at all. Can’t say enough about the SC. Get compliments wherever I go. Great vehicle. MyHyundai for life app needed though. Would make it all worth the while.

Santa Cruz as a 2nd vehicle.

Nice looking pickup, has very good towing capability (5,000#s) but with limited box space partially reduced because of the included metal roll-up cover. Many convenience features both inside and in the box. Comfortable to drive, up to date dash features but with the 2.4 Turbo the gas mileage is low.

Best vehicle ever

I LOVE THIS TRUCK SO MUCH!! Perfect ride. I can’t wait to buy another one next time. It has been my favorite Hyundai of all 5. It is so cute. I’ve used the truck bed a lot. The liner with all the tie-downs is really nice. Love the “trunk” in the bed.

Great driving experience!

Dives and handles like a car but works as a truck. Very stylish and comfortable. Negative points are no dials for climate control or audio so can be a distraction at times. Issue with the audio cutting out be can be fixed by a quick disconnect from battery and a slow response from the turbo engine af times.

Disappointing in the leather seating material it stretches too much disappointing in the dealerships trying to fix the radio the radio has gone out three times on trips very annoying the paint chips and peels extremely easy

Great car. Issues,,, are the seats are very uncomfortable. Very stiff.

Seats are very uncomfortable. Hard bottoms. Long driving is uncomfortable. AWD is lacking which i thing has to do with the double clutch transmission. Not a good choice transmission for and kind off road adventure. Afraid to take it off more then a dirt road. Which defeats the point of having it. It is great in the snow though.

Great vehicle... I loved it.

I didn't want or need a big truck. The Santa Cruz fit the bill. I loved this truck. Great technology features. It was an eye catching ride. It was rugged for little dirt roads here in Central Florida, but also quick and nimble enough for highways and interstates. Was very comfortable for around town driving, and long trips. I really loved this truck, with its sparkling black paint. But after 2 years, I sold it. If I ever need a small body truck again, I just might splurge and get the Premium version (I owned the Activity model)

Love the everything about the Santa Cruz, except engine is not good.

I have had my truck for two years now and though I love it, it has been in the shop 3 times since buying. The first time was a boot on the axel took three days to fix, second time the engine had a catastrophic failure and it was in the shop for almost 6 months. The last time it was a gas cap issue and that caused an error code, it was in an out in a day. The engine still has some drag.

Bad transmissions, and demon possessed electroincs.

Well designed and useful vehicle. I love everything about it except for the bad transmission, and the electronics. I can not unlock the doors unless the truck is in the mood to open, then it will not recognize the key and will not allow me to start it again, until it is in the mood to go. My dealer replaced my 1st bad transmission with another re-built bad one, and it does not work either. They say it is normal......

the utility of a truck but the comfort of a car

my wife and i wanted both a truck to haul stuff but didn't want to sacrifice the ride of a car. The Santa Cruz gives us both. We are very outdoors people, so we haul bikes, kayaks, skis with ease, yet the truck drives and feels like a car.

Fun to drive, handles well; receive . of compliments on the vehicle.

Rides well, smooth and quiet. I enjoy riding in the vehicle . it handles well and is fun. The vehicle has a good amount of pick up on the highway and enjoy the driver assistance features offered. Great vehicle.

Life-threatening danger

My 2023 Santa Cruz has gone into limp mode twice while I was driving it, once on the highway, losing power and enabling me to go no faster than 25 mph. The dealer hasn't been able to find the problem and corporate engineers have been consulted. Instead of providing me a replacement, Hyundai wants to put a data tracker in it so that when it happens again, they'll have data that might show what's wrong. Of course, there's also a decent chance they'll have data of the crash I get into when it happens again.

Excellent truck but dealership was not that great. Had to take in three times for a leak in the sunroof. The service in it was subpar and the sunroof should have been fixed on the same day. I had to take back on a day that was rainy and the floor board and glove box had water in them.

Transmission problem, it delay to engage into gear

My Santa Cruz has a terrible delay when is shift into drive or reverse. It takes few secundas to lounge . I accererate and it feels like it doesn't rngage any gears. Sevetal times I almos hiy the cor behind ot infront ofe depending if Ok am up hill ot down hill. I took my car to rhe dealer and they said it needed a transmission Update but it didn't fix it. These issue may cause a accident so please I would like these issue to get fixed please. I like my Santa Ctuz so please please help me fix it

Worst piece of crap

It’s broke most of the time in the shop. Hyundia finally bought it back after 2 years. Oil pan had come loose every oil change, turbo went out, took 70 days in the shop, loaner cars were crap, a sanatorium I blew one engine which was a loaner with only 6000 miles on it, none of the drive straight down the road.

Best vehicle we have ever bought.

Practically a luxury vehicle with a truck bed attached. Comfortable even after 12 hours of driving. Able to tow 5000 lbs so towing a sub-4000 camper is very doable. Really responsive for driving and has the punch to get-up-and-go if needed.
