Great Car

I have been very happy with this car. It has a very good range… Up to approximately 230 miles. I’ve had it for almost 3 years and I’m still very happy with it. It has great acceleration and it’s easy to park especially with the rear video.

Kona EV Ultimate is a Car to Love

I am a proud owner of a 2020 Kona EV Ultimate. It is a pleasure to drive. It is quiet and quick. The thoughtful design and convenient features make this a total package. Previously we have owned expensive "status" brand cars. By far the Kona EV Ultimate has been an excellent purchase experience overall.

Vehicle is good except the battery issue

Fun to drive but just have Battery issue getting dead and nothing would work The remote key doesn't work and doors dont open you have to ise the manuel door key to open the drive side foor and open the hood to give a jump start

FIRST. EV

I had never owned a hybrid or EV so like most people I talked to I had "range anxiety." The power company gave me a level 2 charger and 95% of my charging is done there. I consistently get more range than advertised per charge and range anxiety is unfounded. In summer I get over 350 miles per 100% charge and frankly I don't want to drive more than that in a day. The few times I've traveled more than that on a round trip, finding a public charger has not been an issue. The navigation system is constantly telling you how far you are from the nearest charger. Costs of operation are unbelievably good, like the equivalent of gas at $1 gallon. I didn't go to the dealer expecting, or even considering an EV, but I'm sure glad I took the time to check it out. Very peppy and full powered. Not large, but works great for this Grandpa who has to pick up 8 and 10 year old granddaughters from time to time. Love my Kona EV.

The second-best car money can buy

If I was a billionaire, my first choice for a car would be a Hyundai Ioniq 5 - and my second choice would be the Kona EV that we own and love. The Kona has everything you need (except for maybe some more storage space) and nothing you don't need

Good range, although affected by temperature extremes. Great turning radius. A bit tight in rear seats. Some concern about durability of heads up display, which has been replaced under warranty, and some small paint flaking on plastic front bumper. Ventilated and heated seats allow less use of climate controls, extending range.

Gets the job done

Pros: Good range, very quiet, low maintenance, nice acceleration Cons: A little pricy, Heater performance is low, range is greatly affected when using heater and A/C, remote climate control not as easy to use, and navigation requires cellphone to be wired/connected to car

Easy to drive, ample driving range

This is my 1st EV, and it's been very satisfying owning this car. It has ample range and has been saving me a lot of gas money. It's almost maintenance free, and I appreciate the driver assist safety features such as blind spot and backup warning. The ride is smooth with plenty of acceleration power.

A hair small on storage space, but otherwise amazing

Electric - Enough range (about 250 miles) to go cross country round trip (did it twice) with plenty of reserve between stops. The advanced adas (stop and go cruise control with active steering) is great

I’ll never go back to gas!

I was focused on the electric Kona because of a few things-first the price and it qualifies for federal tax rebate up to 7,500 if the vehicle qualifies) and the State rebate ($5000) and no sales tax-saved thousands here in NJ! In 2 years I spent $150 on in cabin filters and 2 tires were replaced after driving through road construction for weeks

Excellent choice in EV cars segment

I had a Nissan Leaf leased prior to this car. We loved it. Only issue was a limited driving range of 150 miles. So, when it was a time for that lease to up, we started looking at Hyundai Konv EV and Volkswagen ID.4. While ID.4 had more space and legroom, we felt that KONA EV was more suited for our needs. We have not regretted that decision a bit. KONA EV is a fantastic car with tons of features. Biggest surprise is the range of battery. We always get 300+ miles during local driving. On highway range seems to normally 260+ miles. In both cases that's over 258 miles of EPA stated range. We liked it so much that within a month of buying this car, we ended up buying another KONA EV. If you are in a EV market, consider this car. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice car. This is not a family car. However, Perfect for couple people. This car have very smooth and comfortable ride. Very good mileage with Single charge.

Best EV I have owned

My Kona EV is everything I expected AND MORE. Love this car. Comfort and drivability are super. Outside noise is somewhat loud. Perhaps more insulation would elimnate some of the outside noise. Will Hyundai continue making this model?

If it worked great

I love the car itself the range is great, the interior is comfortable. The trunk is very small. it is a very compact car. However, i feel like i am always at the dealership with issues for it. I've had to take it back due to the battery recall many times. I had the AC system back up which caused leaking into the car. I now am having issues that the dealership can't figure out. Wondering if anyone else is having back electrical issues, my blind spot system, back signals and wind shield wiper all don't work randomly. Sometimes when I restart the car they start working again but each time I bring it to the dealership they can't find anything wrong and can't fix the problem. Does anyone know what is wrong with my car?

Good small SUV EV

The Kona EV has great range, up to 300 miles, is comfortable, can carry 15 boxes when the rear seats are down, and car carry 5 passengers comfortably. The car is easy to drive, and the controls are easy to use.

Fun to drive and very practical

Fun and practical car. It can out accelerate a Tesla (and any gas powered car). It also has a pretty amazing amount of interior space for its size. Unfortunately the dealer we bought it from was pretty horrible, but I would assume that other dealerships would be better

Great range and a pleasure to drive

This car far exceeded my expectations. It has an amazing range (much more than its EPA rating, especially in the summer). It is well designed and well built with quality components. This is my fourth EV (after 2 LEAFs and a Model 3), and it is by far the best I have owned.

Hyundai Kona EV 2020

This EV car is ok and has all basic features like your old car for driving in short distance of 25 to 150 miles daily. This model has only front wheels drive, so it’s not recommended to drive in high speed on wet road. I will change bad quality tires to good quality brand tires later. The noise is getting louder than before. The strip on roof is loose and I used super glue to keep thing sticking it.
