Disappointed with technology in vehicle.

Vehicle has over sensitive sensors, beeps unnecessarily, cannot stay in its lane within the center and would violently steer away from adjacent cars. Electric system failure warnings were displayed randomly several times. Phone app is subpar compared to other brands.

Outstanding vehicle with solid perfomance and a few flaws!

Great design and performance, but lack of rear window wiper and ICCU failure has shaken my absolute faith in perfection in this vehicle.

Fun, responsive vehicle!

Overall I love almost everything about the car. The electrical system, however, I find hard to figure out. It seems erratic and at times to have a mind of its own. The manual isn’t particularly helpful. Nor was the service manager who didn’t know the car.

Almost Complete

Overall great car. Driving experience is only hampered by lack of persistent one pedal driving. Driving mode has to be set every power on and driving mode is changed when switching gears which I feel is unsafe.

Love this car!!

This car is very comfortable. The seats have lots of settings to adjust for your ideal comfort. Lots of leg room front and back. The car is equipped with with lots of extras like multiple cameras, lane assist, cruise control and more. Being electric means it has very low maintenance which saves time and money!

This might be the perfect car...except for the ICCU and the tires.

I love how this car drives, how it charges, how it looks, how comfortable it is inside. It's the perfect size for us. We took it on a 4 adult, 1 kid roadtrip and it had space for everything we needed. We were worried about range, but that turned out not to be an issue. The visibility from the driver's seat is excellent, the steering is responsive and the zip from a stop in sport mode is scary fast. Two things keep this from being a 5 star review. The seemingly random failure of my ICCU after 1 year of use and the obnoxious tires the dealership installed. If you are far from home when the ICCU fails this can be a terrible, maybe dangerous experience. The dealership initially didn't have a loaner for us during the free ICCU repair but they found one. It was inconvenient, but didn't cost us anything. The foam filled Michelin tires the vehicle came with are terrible. In less than 2 years of driving, two different tires had their foam fail and bunch up. This leads to a scary shaking at highway speed. I had the first one replaced at the dealership for an extortionate $450. When the second one failed 4 months after that repair I went to Les Schwab to get the foam removed from all 4 tires for $135. If the ICCU and tire issues weren't there this would be the easiest 5 star review I could leave.

One Problem After Another

Battery died 6 or 7 times. Replaced twice. Saved info periodically lost. Air conditioning completely failed July 3, and it took about 18 days to get it repaired. Estimated mileage is grossly overstated.

Ioniq EV 2 Year Review

Overall, I really like the vehicle, it handles very well and charges.Well, but there are certain things I don't like such as when I have to keep the engine on.I can't lock the doors which is a big downside.Also , when you walk away from the vehicle after parking , it , it doesn't lock and that feature should have been built in one , hyundai developed this vehicle a couple years ago. Also , sometimes when I try to unfold my mirrors , it doesn't unfold when I press the button and I have to pull over fully stop and unfold them. That should not happen either along with the fact that the displays sometimes just randomly change out of nowhere on the front dashboard.

Mixed Feelings

I was happy with the performance, fast and controllable. Having to charge was not fun. It took me 8.5 hours to get to a destination which would have taken 6 if I had a hybrid or gas vehicle. If you can handle a lot of unnecessary beeping that you can’t control, be my guest.

Roomy and comfortable to drive

In general, there is a lot to like about my 2024 Ionic 5. It's a great car to get in and out of. The ride is comfortable on surface roads and highways. The "mileage" is reasonable with about 280 miles per charge on average (a bit less in summer heat). The build quality is excellent.

Wonderful car for local use.

Quietest, most comfortable, best riding car I have ever owned, but yet has wicked acceleration. My ICCU failed at around the 20 month mark, but the car has performed flawlessly since its replacement under warranty.
