Always had problems with battery 🔋

This is the fourth time I've taken my car in for the same problem. It suddenly won't start, and I have to ask for help measuring the battery. The truth is, I haven't gotten any results. It always happens after a while, and it fails again. I'm tired of this. The truth is, I want to return it and exchange it for something better...

Good Choice

I think the main things you want in a car including things like acceleration, battery life, handling, etc are good. There are some inconveniences that bother me like how the infotainment center isn't very intuitive. It's a lot of clicks to get to things. Sometimes you are guessing where those buttons are. The fans in the HVAC could be improved in terms of position to the driver and I don't love that full blast is the default when you turn it on. I think the rearview mirror shouldn't be as dark as it is. Sometimes it's really hard to see what's behind me. Also, the rear window is at such an angle that it could really benefit from a wiper blade or something for the water when it's raining. It's not upright enough that the rain trickles down quickly, and even the heat mechanism doesn't help it move quickly, so the window is often really obscured during rainy days, which is dangerous.

Great value EV

The Ioniq5 is a great vehicle. It has held up well and offers many great features. The fast charging speed and range is a necessity when driving on road trips out west where there are few fast chargers. Opening up to the Tesla charging network makes that even easier. The only things I wish were different is a bigger front trunk and a bigger sub trunk in the back. That is the only design area I think Tesla Model Y is better.

The ICCU failed with less than 5,000 miles on the car.

The Integrated Charging Control Unit failed with less than 5,000 miles on the car. It took about a week to replace . Very inconvenient without a loaner car.

Exceeded my EV expectations.

Purchased pre owned after shopping for months. Traded my Kona Ultimate to try the ioniq 5. This car has many amenities for the price . Drives quietly and is very responsive. Added features make this vehicle roomy and comfortable. Easy turning radius easy to park .

Overall, positive experience

As an entry into the EV market, this car is a solid choice. Ride is smooth, features are easy to use, car has been mostly reliable (once battery issue was resolved). In year 2, there's been a deterioration of quality - driver side door and center console both rattle, seal from the back door keeps detaching. Car also needed an alignment that was not covered under warranty. For a very low-mileage driver, these seem like issues that should not have happened so soon.

Excellent First EV

This is my first EV and I'm never going back. I've gotten plenty of compliments on both the interior and exterior of the car. Only a couple of gripes, but all minor. Very happy.

Exciting Ride

The 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 is an exciting I really enjoy putting it into Sport Mode. I only wished it had more driving range and a 360 camera.

North Dakota's first IONIQ 5

I was the first to buy an IONIQ 5 in the state. It was a fun feeling. She turns heads still two years later. I do hope she continues to get updates from time to time to keep things fun. I hope to own this car for another decade.

Sadly I regret this purchase

The advertised range is nowhere near what I get regardless of driving style. I drive on eco and still get less than 200 miles per charge. I can not drive this vehicle out of town because lack of charging options in my area. I have been waiting to receive my adapter that was supposed to be mailed to me and have yet to get that. Considered trading it in and to my surprise, I am completely upside down as it has lost over 50% of its value at 2 years old and under 30k miles. I have addressed this concern with range and have only been told it is normal. If I had been given the "normal" range I would have never purchased this vehicle as it is not reasonable. I work less than 20 miles from my home and I have no choice but to charge 2 times during the week. I would honestly like for Hyundai to take the car back and I would just conside it a loss. I feel stuck in a vehicle that I cannot drive out of town in fear of being stranded. I have run across a few other owners in my area who all agree that this vehicle was not honestly represented and regret their purchase also. As far as the car style and comfort, I love it. But honestly, it has been a huge mistake and I wish I never bought it. I am now stuck with a vehicle I paid over 50k for that is worth 23 if I'm lucky that I still over 35k on that I do not feel safe to drive further than to work.

This is a lot of car for the money.

The value that the Ionic 5 represents resides at the intersection of price and quality. The warranty provides peace of mind for a long time with numerous dealers to seek support from. It is a fun car like SUV that can work as hard as it plays without skipping a beat.

Car is great, Thousand Oaks service is TERRIBLE!

Thousand Oaks service is TERRIBLE! I have taken the car in 4 time for battery issues, each time they replace the battery, which is not the problem. The problem is the software and the continuous pulling for the battery when the car is idle. EVERYONE knows about this but your service department plays dumb intentionally. The last time I took it in they again said it was the 12 volt battery. i refused to take it home and surprise they found an additional problem that was draining the battery. but of course they screwed that up as well. When we picked the car up, the battery issues was fixed. But the automatic car seat didn't work, because they forgot to reconnect it. They took it back and in 10 minutes its fixed. Now weeks later, we find out that our heated car seats don't work, I am sure they forgot to connect something there, but i haven't had time to take the car in.

Absolutely like this vehicle

It has been more than 2 years I own this 2023 Ioniq 5 limited and this is my first electric vehicle, I really like the performance and features of this vehicle. The one star reduction is due to the mileage claim and don't have viper blade in the back, when I initially checked about it they mentioned that it is designed in such a way the water will be dryied but felt little hard on couple of scenario's.
