From Mercedes to Genesis

To say I'm happy with my 2025 Genesis GV80 is an understatement. Both my husband I went from owning Mercedes, which quite honestly we loved, but there is really no comparison with the top of the line with GV80 when you consider the same price point for a Mercedes. The reality is that you would have to pay significantly more for a Mercedes to get the features offered on the Genesis GV80. I loved my husband's GV80 so much that I kind of took it over and since he wanted his new vehicle back... You guessed it we had to get another one. They are both beautiful vehicles, that ride like a dream. The luxury of the leather upholstery along with all the other stunning interior and exterior features is unparalleled. The safety features are also unmatched. From the moment we walked into the dealership (never intending to buy one, much less two GV80's) we were greeted with the most amazing sales woman whose name is Emily. She made us feel right at home, no pressure, not to mention how knowledgeable she was about all of the features. The rest of the staff from the managers, finance and tech guys were all outstanding as well. I have never had such a positive experience in my life and that's saying something since I'm 64 and have my share of vehicles in my lifetime.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy driving this car.

The car is incredibly stable, but with a very cushioned comfortable ride. But it has power and the steering and the brakes are excellent. I feel very secure driving this car on the highway especially.

Great

Great overall SUV a little tight in the rear seating area. The riding performance is similar to three other 90s that I’ve owned very comfortable.

Dog water MPG and obvious short-comings

Fuel efficiency is a joke compared to competitors. The presence of an auto stop-start on a car like this is ridiculous due to aforementioned reason. No true massage function and only limited to driver’s seat. Finicky CarPlay. Very comfortable, but often reminded daily that I missed out on comforts offered by other companies in an attempt to save some money.

We really enjoy GV80 we have added second Genesis (2023 leased GV70)

Very happy overall with the vehicle! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fix the issue with not being able to use Cruise control while wearing sunglasses - this is my biggest issue!

Nice ride but over-engineered

I switched from a Lexus 350 XL to the Genesis GV80. The ride is very comfortable and I like the elevation of the driver's seat (the car is driven by the wife). However, there are numerous features which I do not like or find annoying. I miss having an actual gearshift. I realize they are out of style, but after having one for 50 years I find myself fumbling around with the dial. Also, having two dials on the console is a pain. I have short legs and sit forward so I sometimes grab the front dial thinking it is the gear shift. The oversized screen looks cool but it requires you to take your eyes off the road too often. I'm not an idiot about technology but I have found this car to be aggravating with all the steps neded to input settings. Also, when adjusting the air vents I often swipe the settings for the radio, media, etc. as they sit just below the vents. Very frustrating. The door "pockets" are useless - too small to hold items - maybe a small bottle of water. I have had the car 3 months, have put on 4500 miles and the car still does not feel natural to drive. (I do love the ergonomic driver seat. I frequently turn it on when I get in the car)

Luxury, comfort & value

The Genesis GV80 has exceeded our expectations in luxury, comfort & value. After switching from a Mercedes GLE350, we were slightly concerned that we would see a drop off in performance & comfort, however we have been pleasantly surprised with our GV80 Prestige.
